1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sailor Jerry Hawaiian Pinup on: August 05, 2015 02:59:31 PM
Hey gang! I haven't posted anything in FOREVER because sadly I haven't had much time for crafting like I used to but I was really happy with how this came out. This is the first embroidery in a while so please excuse some of the messiness in the stitches & also the blue ink stain that I haven't washed completely out yet.

I stitched this to commemorate mine & my husband's first wedding anniversary trip in Hawaii. I've even gotten him embroidering too!

Thanks for looking Smiley

I used split stitch, stem stitch, and backstitch. I think split stitch is my new favorite outline stitch!

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / NARAL Pro Choice embroidery on: March 22, 2011 07:06:10 PM
A while back I was approached by an employee at NARAL in Colorado to make a piece to donate for their annual silent auction. Of course I jumped at the chance to do anything for a cause that I stand so fully behind. Heres the finished product!

Obviously, I had to do the WINNING one. DUH!

Let me know what you guys think! I can't believe this, but Charlie Sheen brought me out of my crafting rut I've been dealing with for the past few months!
