1  Re: Monster Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by cindibee on: March 14, 2014 12:22:56 PM
Smeddley sent me the CUTEST orange and green monster! My 2 1/2 yr old daughter IMMEDIATELY claimed him as her own, which of course I could not deny because my daughter is the CUTEST monster of them all.......

Sophia came home from daycare and saw Mr. Monster sitting on the couch and said "My monster!!!!!!" as she grabbed him and hugged him. So while I'm almost tempted to fight her for him, because Mr. Monster is SUPER COOL, I'm gonna give him to her because she was so happy when she saw him!

Luckily, Smeddley also sent me 4 AWESOME ATCs, so I can add those to my collection. Smiley

Thanks Smeddley, and I hope you like your package just as much!

3  I made me a cute baby bag! And the baby even fits in it! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cindibee on: September 06, 2011 09:02:32 AM
I've been spending the last few weeks of my maternity leave making stuff for the new baby, and here's the baby bag I finished! I'm immensely proud of how it turned out! Of course, I HAD to use an owl print.... ^.^

And the baby even fits inside it!

The pattern I used can be found here: http://www.warehousefabricsinc.com/blog/diaper-bag-with-a-divider/

And I blogged about the project here: http://cindibee.blogspot.com/2011/09/different-meanings-of-baby-bag.html

4  More pages from my collage-heavy art journal! (MANY pics) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by cindibee on: September 01, 2011 03:46:40 PM
I initially posted pics from my visual journal in this thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=325975.0

Here's how the journal looked when I first made it several years ago, before anything was added to it:

I've added tons more to my journal since then and wanted to share more with you. Some of these pics were originally posted in the first topic, but the pic quality was poor, so I'm reposting those as well.

Look at the state of the pages now!

Though I don't truly count any page as "finished", as I always like to go back and add little details, these next pages are more unfinished than the ones above.

5  Re: Teesha Moore Type Journal.. anyone want to play?? in Needlework: Stitchalongs by cindibee on: July 22, 2010 08:28:55 PM
Everyone's posting such beautiful work! I've also been diligently stitching away and am absolutely IN LOVE! I already have plans for tons of projects using this technique, and I expect to use up a lot of scraps! This is an excellent stash buster, and I have a pretty big stash from a few dead grandmothers that I need to start whittling away at.

I can't post more than a few cryptic macro shots, as the item in question will eventually go to a swap partner.

So I was ahead, and now I'm behind. Work this last week got insane and I had no time to work on these. Here's where I'm at so far!

Some of my supplies:

My setup. On the lap, while watching Riff Trax.

Here I am, late as usual. Last week was insane at work and I barely had time to breathe.

Here are the rest of the inchies I received!

From alwaysinmyroom. I absolutely ADORE those owl inchies! All of them are fantastic though!

From llisaredd. Cuuuuute! I love these!

From kartiana. My favorite one is the pheasant stamp. ^.^

From FoxyMama. She made tons! I've always loved how the Ford logo has changed over the years.

And she made me birds and owls! I'm definitely displaying these on my wall!

Thanks everyone!

8  Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by cindibee on: July 07, 2010 05:24:35 PM
For as long as I can remember, even before I was aware of it, I have been completely obsessed with owls. Probably has to do with seeing Labyrinth when I was really really young...

Anyways, I designed this tattoo to commemorate my obsession. It's on the inside of my left wrist. A lot of people don't notice it's there until months later and then get really confused.

So, my group is apparently the slacker group and almost all of us are still in mid-inchie mode (me included) but I have received inchies from those of us who are more prompt! :p And these inchies are all very lovely! The themes I gave were Owls, Birds in general, Dragonflies, Fabric, and Ford Trucks/Mustangs. (I am a manager at a Ford dealership and I want some office art. ^.^)

from nannyem

from Krafty Karasu

from aidenromantic (she gave me eight extra inchies!)
