1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Heart Bubbles on: March 23, 2010 06:22:40 AM
Oh wow, what a fabulous idea!  I totally love it!!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Kids Camera Case on: March 18, 2010 12:46:01 PM
My 6 year old got a kids camera for his birthday.  I really wanted him to have some sort of case to keep it in, but even after scouring the internet for *way* too long, I couldn't find anything I was happy with.  SO...I decided to jump in and just design one myself.  It is FAR from perfect, but he really loves it.  He loves the airplanes, and he loves that it has his name on it.  I like that it zips (so even when he swings it around, nothing falls out), and I like the little pocket inside (for keeping little candies or extra memory cards or whatever).  Gotta say that the zipper about killed me.   Shocked

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fabric Storage Ideas on: March 12, 2010 02:29:45 PM
I did exactly as you are describing, and I LOVE it.  I can see all of my fabrics, and everything is so neat and organized.  I posted about it here:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=294812.0

I explained how I did it, but if you have any other questions, just ask! Smiley
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tooth Pillow on: March 01, 2010 09:36:32 PM
My oldest son lost his first tooth yesterday, so I had to whip up a quick pillow for him to stick the tooth in for the tooth fairy.  I didn't embellish it much b/c I just didn't have time.  The mouth is a pocket, and yes, it does have a bit of a five o'clock shadow.   Cheesy

I used this tutorial:  http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/02/tooth-pillow-revisited.html

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Doll, Bassinet, and Blanket on: February 28, 2010 05:13:20 PM
My four year old was invited to a birthday party, and we're broke so I decided to stash bust a little bit and make the gift.  I'm thrilled with how it all turned out.

I made this doll using the Black Apple doll tutorial on Martha Stewart.  (Sorry, don't know how to embed the links.)  http://www.marthastewart.com/article/black-apple-doll?autonomy_kw=black%20apple%20doll&rsc=header_1

The bassinet was created using this tutorial (which was featured on ucreate this weekend).  http://nothingfancyschmancy.blogspot.com/2009/11/baby-doll-bassinet-tutorial.html

Face detail.  The tutorial said to paint it on, but I don't have any paint, and I don't trust myself with paint, so I embroidered it instead.

The bassinet.  I will definitely be making this again, but I think I will use some interfacing next time so it holds its shape a bit better.

The little lace trim on the hood:

The doll and her blanket.  I ran out of time, or she would have had buttons or pockets or something.  I think the dress is too plain.  I also realize that the arms are on upside down.  Oh well.  It's cute anyways. Cheesy

And all together:

LOVE the zigzags!!  Since I saw the picture of your quilt yesterday, I've been trying to decide what colors to make my own zigzag quilt in.  You've inspired me for sure!

Wow, I seriously LOVE your quilt!  The colors are so beautiful, and I *love* the grazing sheep on the back!

Can you explain more what you mean by window-shade quilting?
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: A Week of Baby Onesies Swap Round 4!!!! on: February 20, 2010 01:35:15 PM
Ooh, can't wait!!  I've never done this swap before, but have always wanted to!

The timeline sounds perfect to me.
