1  Scrappy Blanket for my Daughter in Crochet: Completed Projects by MoreLove on: November 30, 2010 02:28:48 PM

 so i made my daughter a blanket.  i was at a  yard sale last year and found half a bag of yarn and squares made up.  so i did the rest up.

  And i would take a picture of the whole thing,  except my 21 month old keeps stealing it.  it was going to be a xmas present for her,  but she found me ~  haha,  oka  so got out of bed late at night with a nightmare, and promply hauled it back up stairs to fall asleep till 9 am.  one tired little girl.

  she clearly loves it.  as we were doing pictures of some other crocheted stuff and she made a bed on the coffee tale.  hahaaa...  So happy with it.

i was sooo tired of not being able to find tights that fit me!  so many lovely ladies out there get to have awesome looking tights,  and this curvy body had huge calves and fat thighs.  Cheesy

i bought this material 3 years ago witht he intention of making a shirt.  i never got around to it.  i adore the fabric.  it was a discontinued one from walmart.  paid 3.50 for 1.6 metres!!!

  so onto my tights

  amazing no?

  this is the fabric for them

so comfy!  i'd do a better picture.  but i am alone  and it is 10:30 pm!

3  BroBee in Blanket Form in Crochet: Completed Projects by MoreLove on: August 08, 2009 09:47:56 PM

  this is what i started out with.  my design for it.  XD

This is how it looks now!

  that is a 12 inch ruler in there to show you how big this blanket is.  XD

  The lady i made it for asked for it to be longer and wider then a crib blanket.

  so  6 balls of yarn later,  3 light green and 3 dark green.  i have enough left over hopefully for a brobee ami as well.  Smiley

7  Chocolate Pumpkin Pancakes in Dessert by MoreLove on: April 09, 2008 10:42:45 PM
haha..  my boyfriend calls these his pancake cookies.  they are so freaking delicious.  seriously.  go make some tomorrow
This is his smile of approval!

    * 2 cups all-purpose flour
    * 3 tablespoons brown sugar
    * 2 teaspoons baking powder
    * 1 teaspoon baking soda
    * 1 teaspoon ground allspice
    * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

    * 1 1/2 cups milk
    * 1  1/4 cup pumpkin puree
    * 1 egg
    * 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    * 2 tablespoons vinegar

    * 3/4 of a bag of chocolate chips

   1.  In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, pumpkin, egg, oil and vinegar. Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, ginger and salt, stir into the pumpkin mixture just enough to combine.  Add chocolate chips last
   2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

10  Re: Buie the unicorn poppet, and a dress/clothing tutorial *image heavy* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MoreLove on: December 23, 2007 12:58:56 AM
This is how i made her dress.

First,  i gathered all my supplies!

 pen, tracing paper, measuring tape, and poppet

first i lay my poppet down about the mddle of the page, and mark out hips, arms, waist, and where the crotch is on the poppet.

ad i connect hem all together so i have a rough shape of my poppet outline on there.

i measure out the hips and waist on the poppet..

 this is mostly to double check it later for the size of the dress.  and depending on how you want to put the dress on as well.

so after this,  i fold the paper in half  so when i cut it out,  i'll have a full pattern.  you can leave it in half if you want too.

i sketch out a few ideas for what i want the dress to look like.

finally settled for about half way,  i wanted a fuller skirt,  and the arms are going to be sewn together with ribbons to hold it on.

i then cut it out and tried the paper dress on my poppet.  they make great subjects.  you can pin it right to them,  no complaints!

Made a few adjustments to it.  the shoulder was a little too long.  i ended up cutting it back.  Then i sketched out the back piece for it.  you generally want the neck int he back higher then the front,  unless going for a apron look.

then i put it on the fabric and with a pencil,  i sketched it lightly onto the fabric i was using for one side of my dress.  ( i made mine reversable,  you can do what you want at this point!)

  i do suggest to cut out a fairly wider seam allowance when doing this.  i sewed on all the lines i put ont eh fabric,  so you will need some extra room.  you can always cut it down he seam allowance after you sew it together.

  now i finished it off by sewing ribbons into the shoulders and making a inside layer so the dress is reversable.  Smiley

  this is a good way to do pants (like the poppet pants tutorial) dresses, shirts, skirts.  let your imagination go wild!
