1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Mouse Maze on: March 24, 2013 05:50:26 AM
Our quilt guild has bags of random scraps called Puzzle Bags. The puzzle is to make a quilt for charity from the bag of random pieces. Here is the before and after of one of the bags I picked up. It's called Mouse Maze and there is a pattern free on my blog for the quilt.

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Somebody's View on: February 22, 2013 01:08:51 PM
My partner from the MAQ6 received her quilt so I can share it now with everyone. This is a wall hanging titled Somebody's View.

There are clear seed beads with silver centers for the sparkly stars. They don't photograph real well.  I used some white crayon and black netting to create the shadows on the rocks. The background is machine quilted with a walking foot.

Enjoy the view!

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Mr. Bones the Pirate on: June 10, 2011 07:34:27 AM
Meet Mr. Bones the Pirate. I guess finding the treasure a little late is better than never Grin
I put the pattern on my blog for anyone that is interested. He still needs to be quilted and I was thinking of adding some bling to the chest. He measures 21 x 27 inches and is fusible raw edge applique. Enjoy!

6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / It's Alive! on: June 10, 2011 07:25:38 AM
I'm at it again. You really need to back away from the monitor to appreciate the details on this one. Can you see him? It's Frankenstein. He measures 60x86 inches and was made from a pumpkin carving template found at Zombie Pumpkins. He is going to be a Father's Day gift.

Far more teeny tiny pieces than my Spock quilt but the detail is fantastic. I will be hand quilting this one.

More info on the process on my blog

Hope you enjoy him!
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Fascinating on: May 13, 2011 11:20:40 AM
**NEW Quilt along starting Sept 23rd. You can make this by Christmas. Come join the fun http://funthreads.blogspot.com/p/fascinating-mr-spock-quilt-along.html**

My newest quilt is called "Fascinating" since that's Spock's answer to most everything. You need to back away from the computer in order to get the full effect of this quilt. The image gets much clearer from a distance. Can you see Mr. Spock? It's 58x82 inches.I wanted a scrappy quilt that would be very chaotic and hard to see up close but reveal an image as you backed away from it.
Details of the quilt process are on my blog

Hope you enjoy my nutty project Grin
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Seasons wallhanging with yo-yo's on: April 29, 2011 08:44:12 AM
I finished another UFO (unfinished fabric object) from sewing stash. I made this design about a year ago for a swap and my friend loved it so much she made me a bag of yo-yo's so I would make her one too.

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Love Blossoms on: April 21, 2011 06:24:26 AM
This is the mini quilt I made for the MAQ swap. It's called Love Blossoms. It's the first time I've stippled using my sewing machine. Who knew, I've been missing tons of fun all these years Wink......and see you can teach an old dog a new trick. HAHAHA.

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Gone But Not Forgotten Quilt Tops on: April 21, 2011 06:16:46 AM
I finished two Harry Potter Quilt Tops. I titled them Gone But Not Forgotten since the books are done and the movies will be finished soon.

I've never made appliques (raw edge finished with machine blanket stitch) this large before. I'm not real sure how to quilt it. Any suggestions?
