Great thing is: there is no need to send him a picture. I will be spending most of the summer with him because we'll be working at the same camp. It might be a little awkward. But its our camp (or thats what we consider it because we spend every summer there) so its not like we'll stop going over the whole situation.

784  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Sailor Moon Giftbag! on: June 24, 2007 12:11:32 PM
My grandmother is quilty of giving every grandchild a present (normally from Dollarama) no matter whose birthday it is. Well at my brothers birthday she gave me and my little cousins each a door handle hanger thingy. Mine read "No Boys Allowed". I'm almost 16 so a sign that says No Boys Allowed doesn't exactly turn my crank anymore. But the giftbag it was in deifnetly did. It was a a small (19cm by 22.5cm) Sailor Moon giftbag. I was a HUGE Sailor Moon fan as a kid and would love to find a way to craft this into something I could actually use. Here's a picture of it:

Please, Please, Please give me some ideas for this. I know with all the Craftster geniuses on here we can come up with something!

785  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cosmo Purse! on: June 24, 2007 11:37:24 AM
Well, I must admit that you can't actually tell the pages are from Cosmo so it's more of just a magazine purse with a ribbon handle.
So here it is:

And absolutely horrible action shot:

I'm thinking I'll give this to my wonderful best friend for her birthday. Cheesy

I just checked and the bottom isn't actually marble, it's plastic. That makes it okay to paint right? Huh I love the idea of making stripes out of ribbon. Next time, I'm craaft shopping I'll definetly pick some up. Cheesy

did you dye the hoodie because i love the color in the after pictures!
Sadly no I didn't dye it. I think it just look brighter in the second picture becuase it was taken on a burgandy-ish carpet instead of a blue one.
i  was just cruising "recent with pics", and i had to go back and check who the poster was when i saw the lampshade (from your previous post).. i thought i recognized it!!
I'm sure if your cruise Craftster a bit more yu'd find a few more picture I posted last night. Last night was my "finally posting things on Craftster" night.  Cheesy
This is totally irrelevant, but did you get those pants from Old Navy? Because if so, WE ARE WEARING THE SAME PANTS.
Well, I suppose we're wearing the same pants because yes indeed they did come from Old Navy. Aren't they fabulous! Cheesy

Well thank you for all the awesome comments.

788  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Marvelous Melted Plastic Cuffs [Now with Tutorial!] on: June 23, 2007 06:40:44 PM
I was browsing Craftster and found some lovely Melted Bead Cuffs and though I'd make some of my own. I had this plastic rock sort of things sitting around that my strangely girly little brother got at Dollarama and had been wondering for weeks what the heck I was going to do with them. As I was reading the tutorial that little lightbulb above my head went off and I realise not only was this what I was going to do with the rocks but it answered what the heck I was going to give my friend for her birthday. The results:

And now for the not so sexy action shot:

So what do you think? Are they not something every 16 year old girl needs?

Now I'm no genius and actually really suck at explaining things so we'll have to see how this goes....
Plastic Rocks, Beads, ect.
Cookie Sheet
Pop Can

Step 1: Cover a cookie sheet with tinfoil and heat up the oven. I used about 350F but you may need to play around with the tempature.
Step 2: Lay the pastic rocks (or beads or whatever) on the cookie sheet in a rectangle thats the desired length and width you want.
Step 3: Place in oven until completely melted.
Step 4: Remove the cookie sheet and wrap the melted platic and tinfoil around a pop can. This is extremely tricky. You might want to tape the tinfoil to the can.
Step 5: Once the plastic has cooled slide it off the can, peel off the tin foil and TADA! you have a sexy cuff. Smiley

Tip: Do one bracelet at a time. If you try to do more than one the other bracelet will cool while your wrestling to get the first bracelet on the can.

Hope thats helpful  Cheesy

789  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sexy Lamp Revamp on: June 23, 2007 06:34:05 PM
So I have this lamp here that was my great grandmas. I really have no sentimental attachment to it so it wasn't a big deal to me to change it. So here's the ugly lamp that she left me and my mother:

Today my mother and me were having a nice shopping spree at Michaels and I picked up a a plain white lamp shade and some sexy sequin thingies and here's the result:

I still want to do something with the actually lamp part. Any suggestions?

790  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ex-Boyfriends Hoodie to Sexy Dino Hoodie[Picture Chubby] on: June 23, 2007 06:27:57 PM
Sadly, there's no heartbreaking story to go along with the ex boyfriends sweater. It was a long distance and just didn't work. I've had his hoodie in a box full of his things till a few days ago when I was browsing Craftster. I found the tutorial to make a dino hoodie and had to try it myself. I changed other bits of the sweater so it matched the dinos spikes a bit better. So here we go (sorry for all the pictures):
Before (Can you tell that the ex was a little on the scrawny side):

(Sorry about the bad quality of this picture. Man, I look prego in this pic):

The Hood:

Some messed up picture, mostly a picture of the sleeve Undecided :

Comments or Suggestions would be appriciated a lot.
