Your kitchen looks so much like mine used to!!!  I painted the cabinets white and it made a HUGE difference.  It was a lot of work, I won't lie.  But it cost under $200 and the impact was enormous.

Just thought I'd post a couple pictures for a visual reference (hope that's okay!)

I love this! I especially love how tiny it folds up so you can always have it with you!!
25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Re: New Father's Day Ideas on: June 01, 2007 09:08:15 AM
I love the windchime idea!  My dad is a handyman and I could see him getting a kick out of a nuts and bolts windchime.  Smiley

May I ask what you used as a base (i.e. to hang the things from), and what you tied the nuts/bolts on with?

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Teal Dress - Simplicity 3777 on: May 01, 2007 09:34:46 AM
That's so cute!!

Side note: I used that same fabric as a tote bag lining a while back and loved it - isn't it the softest?  Smiley

28  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Cheap and cool window dressing??? on: April 04, 2007 05:10:54 PM
I have used bedsheets as curtains in the past, and stenciled a design along the bottom.  Not perfect, but funcitonal and kinda pretty.  Smiley

Have you tried Annie's Naturals Goddess Dressing? It's super yummy.

I also recently discovered Good Seasonings dry Italian dressing mix - you can buy a "starter package" that has a cruet with it - the cruet is marked with how much oil, vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar), and water you add in.  It's so good and really cheap - I think the starter packet was like $3 for the cruet and 2 pkgs, and refill pkgs are like $1 each.
