Not at all Smiley

It sits on the collarbone, so not a choker. No actions shots yet, sorry!

I was inspired by the new SATC film to put together this bad boy...

It reminds me of all the fab corsages SJP wears in the film, but it's just that little bit different than a brooch.

Hope you like it!

I stitched some felt appliques to a t-shirt, and made one big enough to be used as a pocket. There's a thread on here somewhere but I can't find it right now.

I also saw a cute t in a shop that had a cute button-flower design- the buttons were the flower centre and the flowers were drawn on in fabric paint.

Why don't you just have the "I <3" above the picture, with the picture at the bottom? Kind of like an "I <3 NY" t-shirt, but with a picture of Beck!

Woolworth's sell packs of 8 squares of felt for 1. Each square is a different colour. You can also buy felt off the roll in John Lewis, but I have no idea how much it is.

its soo amazing!!!!!!

how do the little cassettes hold the earphones in place?

They're sewn on at 2 sides, with the top and bottom open, so you thread the headphones through and the tapes hold the wires in place Smiley

Brilliant! Literally and figuratively! Love the colors -and- the functionality, you should probably make a lot of those and try to sell them to unsuspecting consumers such as myself Cheesy this rocks for shore!

I am considering that, funnily enough!

What a great design! Did you make the appliques yourself?

Yes, I did. They're felt ans fabric pen. I pre-washed them and hand-stitched them on.

I'm currently making one for my fiance without the pocket- he loves it!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Funky AND Functional- I made more! on: June 24, 2007 01:20:16 PM
I decided to get on board with the current 80's neon trend, and I came up with this little number:

The appliques are little cassette tapes. The biggest cassette is a pocket for an MP3 player and the smaller cassettes hold your headphones in place! I love it Cheesy

I love the colours on the pink one.

Thought I'd try something different with this one- the tapes are the same colour, but the detail is done in different colours.

At least I have some handy presents for people now!
