13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / soy yarn?? on: June 17, 2007 08:10:30 PM
hey guys. i tried to find a thread about soy yarn, but i couldnt find anything. so i am knitting with Paton's SWS yarn in blue stripes, and then i have pink stripes as well, but i wanted to know if anyone had problems with it staining your hands and your needles, my needles are practically blue! didnt know what you guys thought about it, i guess i should have washed it first, but i really didnt think about it before hand. i love the yarn, and its wonderful to work with, i was just wondering what you wonderful knitters thought as well...

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / a bunch of stuff i did on: February 06, 2007 08:40:02 PM
Hey there everyone!! I just joined this site, and i am so glad this is here! I have enjoyed seeing everyone's work, and getting such great ideas!! I just wanted to share a few things I have done since last summer. When i was younger, my grandmother taught me how to sew, cross stitch, embroidery, knit, you name it... i did it. i quit sewing once i got into high school (had to fit in with the bad crowds). so... last summer i started working next door to a needlework shop, and to my wonder, i started cross stitching. then over the winter time i started embroidering again. and then for Christmas my mother bought me a killer sewing machine... so now i am obsessed with doing something to everything! i love it...so here are a few things i would like to share with you guys!!! some of these were courtesy of sublime stitching, and some were from subversive cross stitch...hope to post more soon!!
