21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / 1 Yard of Fabric for Skirt - Need Pattern on: January 31, 2007 05:30:25 PM
I found 1 yard of fabric at Goodwill the other day. It's kind of a slippery  rayon/polyester. I thought about making an aline skirt, and lining it. However, I only have 1 yard, and I am about a size 12. Any suggestions on patterns or how to cut it out? Most skirt patterns call for 1.5 or 2 yards. I could add a different matching fabric to the top and create a yoke or to the bottom for a ruffle if need be, I want to make it about knee length. Is this enough fabric? Please help. I'm new to sewing, something something easier would be better.
