Amazing detail. I keep thinking I know which one is my favorite -- all the felt entries are so fabulous but this picnic is just amazing. I love all the little details and components.

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: The prodigal screwdriver! on: April 22, 2007 04:36:27 PM
I have an Evolve too and I looooove it so much! I know exactly what screwdriver you are talking about (mine is orange) and I dread the day when I lose it. I've been pretty good about keeping it in the little caddy under the looper threads. I don't know about you, but I never close that little drawer all the way, it's a pain to open and I feel like it's going to snap off.

I lost the threader gizmo - I really miss that but I don't want to buy another one. Actually, I didn't lose it but my then three-year old got a hold of it and that was the end of that.

I'm glad you found your screwdriver! Happy Serging Smiley
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: (Now with tutorial!) - SODA/BEER cans - Almost Unlimited Uses! Charms (5 Pic on: April 22, 2007 03:13:16 PM
This has been such a great and helpful thread. I don't do much scrapbooking so I've kind of ignored it the past few years. But  I've been kind of obsessed with making tags for totes and things like that I sell, so I got a punch, but it doesn't really work very well. So I was looking at something called the Cricut which does alll sorts of amazing things but it's $300 and the cartridges are expensive. I try to avoid expensive gadgets because I'll never get my money's worth and I'm afraid to break it.

Anyway, I'm kinda obsessed with Sizzix now, especially after reading this thread. According to the Sizzix web site there is something new called a "Bigkick" which seems identical to the Sizzix but bigger? It also says it will cut fabric and other things! Since I lurv to do applique, this would be awesome! Especially if I could find some dies in greek letters because I am starting to get into doing sorority things. (I live in a college town and there is a huge market for sorority/fraternity items).

I went to Michaels today and almost bought one with my coupon but they didn't have ANY dies. Joanns had more but they had marked it down $10 so I could use the coupon. I think I'm going to wait and order the Bigkick off eBay so I can get the really big dies as well.

I can't wait to try this coke can dog tag necklace - I know my daughter will love it!!! Smiley

That is the coolest!  I kind of miss card catalogs - used to spend a lot of time there. I get a little tired of everything being computerized. Yours is awesome! -Aimee

That is so awesome. I'm still in awe of all the genius craftiness in this forum. My favorite toy when I was a kid was a kitchen my grandpa made and this reminds me of it!
