1  Awesome new tiny shirt! Finally!!! (5 PICS) in Crochet: Completed Projects by cataplum on: May 28, 2009 01:14:26 PM
Hey guys! I finally decided to pick up a project I started last year. Since I was pretty bigger last summer, I decided not to finish it, but this year, I'm feeling pretty good!! It's very easy actually, it's just two circles! I picked it up from a french magazine, I really don't remember what it's called... So, here go the photos!

First up the "I'm too cool to take a photo of myself" picture!

It's just a general one, so no comments here!

Next up, the side:

So IT IS just a circle!!! You can tell I'm trying to squeeze it all in, can't you?...

The back:

Please excuse everything that's wrong in this pic, my bra, the crazy strings coming all over my butt... Believe me, it was the "normal" one out of all the stock...

The front:

It deserves no comments....

And finally, the I-don't-have-to-worry-about-it-anymore/happy-dance photo!!

Please please comment you guys!! It's really important to tell me what you think!!

Thanks for looking!

2  Its springtime! Sewing madness-more to come (LOTS OF IMAGES!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cataplum on: May 10, 2009 10:34:42 AM
Hi guys! Im not very good on commenting my own photos, so here goes: Ive made several things since last year that I bought my own little Singer Barbie machine (it has butterflies on it!!!), but I was so bored of taking photos... So now that I have a new camera, I decided to go for it!!

First up, a dress made from an IKEA curtain (you can actually see the other half on the back!) Its a pretty simple dress, but I need to work on my sewing skills regarding cleavage....

I dont know if you tell, but the fabric has this beautiful design. Its like vertical threads... whatever....

This is from a Burda magazine. I got the fabric for 1 euro/meter!!

It wraps around, and I love the neck!!

Next item, another curtain dress, and another Burda pattern. This time, the curtain is from the '70s or something, I got it from a second-hand shop

Very "professional"!!

I really love the color in this one! Again, Burda pattern, at least thats how it begun, but it ended up completely diferent!

I feel like a dancer in it!!

Lastly, YET another dress! Or at least something like it... This is one of the very first I made, so I just begun by sewing two rectangles together... From then on, it was cutting time!! I think I exaggerated a little bit on the cutting part!!

Please comment you guys, it means a lot!! I could really use some help, because Im still figuring out which clothes fit me better and which not, so any comment would be really hepful! Thanks  Grin

Sorry for the spelling errors, I hope it all makes sense....

3  My first two tie dye scarves hanging in my spanish patio!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cataplum on: May 19, 2008 03:01:36 PM
I made these last night, and I absolutely adore the colours!! One of them is for my neighbour, but I will definately steal it from her from time to time!! Grin

They were so long, I didnt have anywhere to let them dry, so I just hanged them from my toilet window!! At least I got some good comments from the other neighbours!

What do you think?

4  "Tree of life" batik skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cataplum on: May 19, 2008 02:56:46 PM
Hi everyone! Well, I just made my first skirt from scratch! Im also having a batik class, so I thought I should try it at home as well. Well, here goes nothing!

the front

and the back

I bought 100% white cotton fabric, I draw my version of the "tree of life" on the front and I just doodled on the back, and then painted it orange! Very easy actually, but I had to hand sew it all as I dont allow myself to buy a sewing machine until July that I finish university!!

What do you guys think?

5  Batik for my wall in Dyeing: Completed Projects by cataplum on: May 08, 2008 12:56:05 PM
I did this for my batik class! As I have no imagination, I was just doodling around, and at the end I realised the lines looked a bit like flowers, so I added the petals! Its very basic really, just a plain old sheet and some green paint! Tell me what you think!

6  cool top with AMAZING fabric!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by cataplum on: May 08, 2008 12:50:59 PM
Ok, so I bought this blouse last year and it was horrible! It was supposed to go with another top underneath, and it was huge on the waist, not flattering at all... But I was really drawn by the fabric, so I bought it... I founded it today on my pile of summer clothes, I got a bit creative, and this is what I came up with!

 Sorry for the face....

I made the neck with the string and cut A LOT of fabric from behind, near the waist. VERy BAD hand sewing...

Tell me what you think!

A skirt which I havent lined yet (100% cotton)

and a detail of the pattern

A skirt made of acrylic VERY EASY!

My version of Lionbrands "Luch Lace Pullover"

A bolero thingy

The same bolero, side pic

My own version of " Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat"

Thats it! Sorry for the expressions, I had just woken up when I took the pictures!

Please comment, its HIGHLY important!

P.S. Just a silly question: when am I supposed to put "Image huge" or "Image obese" etc?? Does it refer to my weight?? Grin Because if so, ITS HUUUUGEEE!!!

9  My first crochet dress! in Crochet: Completed Projects by cataplum on: September 11, 2007 02:12:10 AM

I made this in two days to get over the fact that I was leaving my boyfriend in Spain and I was coming back to Greece.... I didn't measure anything, it just came out like that! That's exactly why I always wear it with another top, because I underestimated my breast!!!

What do you think?

10  Just another scrap wrap in Knitting: Completed Projects by cataplum on: September 11, 2007 01:47:51 AM

When I started knitting, my grandmother gave me a lot of small skeins she wouldn't use, just to get me in the mood! I didn't know what to do with them, and during my exams, when I was really nervous, I made this!

Sorry for the pictures, my camera decided to die on me, so I had to use my mobile....
