For the faded heart- why not buy a small pot of black fabric paint and a small detail brush and paint it on there? I've used that kind before and not had a problem.

That headband is AWESOME! I want to touch it (i love the way embroidery and beads feel) Certainly rocks!

lol! my boyfriend and i made these last night. he used to make them when he was little. we were literally just talking about them just before i saw your post! i thought on their own they were a little on the bland side. if i did it again i might add some garlic and onion powder to the cream cheese for some flavor.

You must work with some pretty cool people to make them such an awesome gift! Did you work from photos or memory? I love how each face is so distinctly different (thats the point, I know.) It shows how talented you are at picking up on the tiny details of the human face.
15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Vintage Christmas Swap Gallery on: December 19, 2009 06:56:32 PM
ntrebleagain hasn't said anything about retrieving her package from me nor is she responding to messages.  Huh  Its been well over a week since she said she was going to pick it up and post in a few hours. I don't have pictures to post (besides two on my phone) and I'm feeling quite dejected. I sent her 5 resin sprinkle and glitter globe ornaments, two strands of brown velvet ribbon garland with blue flowers w/ iridescent yellow glass bead centers, and two diorama scene ornaments: one of a snowy scene of a pink bottle brush tree w/baby blue deer as well as one with a mouse holding a threaded needle with a spool of thread and some vintage buttons. I'll see if I can upload the photos from my phone.

i was at my local craft store last night and saw strings of lights done with brown plastic rather than the usual green or white. when i saw it i thought of your tree. maybe you could find some of those near you, it would go better with the "natural" theme so many are suggesting.

my best idea to fill in the really sparse areas would be to use pretty ribbon for ornament hangers. that way you could make it nice and long and have something pretty to look at.
