I really like these, they're really sexy! I might make a pair for a Christmas present Cheesy

I love how you interpreted the concept of the assignment, I'm sure your professor will be very impressed with your innovation on the concept of sculpture.

I think you did a really good job, especially with the incorporation of the photographs. That could have easily looked cheesy, but you accomplished it very elegantly :]
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Upcycled jewelry racks and displays on: June 21, 2010 02:11:48 PM
I love this :] As I'm sitting here surrounded by free-floating bracelets and necklaces yet to find a home, this made me realize I should be taking a trip down to the thrift shop!

My favorite is the CD rack :]

Hey guys!
My first topic [where I'm not clamoring for help in a panic hehe]

I've made a purse, and I actually like it [a fact which surprised me].
I started out making a jordy bag, but I messed with the proportions and they turned out odd, so it became a sort of squarish tote creature hehe.
I hope you like it as well ^_^
After much sewing, ripping, and resewing, here it is:

and a closeup of the detail on the front:

Sorry about the links as opposed to pics thing [blast my noobness lol].

Motivation to make more stuff to post about ! ^.^

I love the concept of reworking something to give it a new purpose, like you did with those curtains.

I actually got the fabric for my bag [which I finally finished woo hoo ^.^] from an old mens workshirt I found at a thrift sale and couldn't leave behind.

It took me so long b/c it was the first thing I've ever sewn and I had to keep redoing everything lol, but here finally are the pics of my finished bag:

Thanks very much to Jordy for the tutorial, which made for a great first project as it was so easy and yielded such cute results.

I already have some ideas for more bags I can make using this same model ^.^
