21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Dog Portrait and Chinchilla Portrait on: May 20, 2008 02:00:36 PM
Here's a couple of newer pieces. The background in the dog portrait (a chow mix named Pookie how cute  Cheesy) took forever. I'm really glad my customer liked it! It was done in prisma colored pencils.

This is a medium ebony chinchilla. The person who bought it didn't really say that much, just that it arrived undamaged in the mail. I really liked it especially because the green background was different for me. It was done in pastels on velour paper.

Thanks for looking   Kiss
22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Knit Square Swap? on: March 09, 2008 10:11:24 AM
I was thinking that maybe we can make start a knit square exchange? I wanted to make an afghan in different types of square and I thought it would be fun to exchange square with some craftsters. I think it would be an easy swap and a no fuss one. What do you guys think?
23  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Wiener Dog Portrait on: March 05, 2008 04:00:05 PM
I was asked to create a portrait for Midwest Dachshund Rescue. http://www.mwdr.org/They're having a silent auction this Saturday. I'm really hope the portrait will help them out. I'm kind of nervous about it. Anyway, it's an 8x10. It's pastel on velour. Comments are always appreciated.

24  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Portrait of Angel the Cockapoo! on: March 01, 2008 07:45:53 AM
So my swap partner received her items so I can post them now! I was paired up with amyracinrose for the My Pet Swap, and I was really excited to create a portrait for her. She loves her baby Angel so much and it was hard to contain the surprise for her!

I always get awesome swap partners, I love making new friends on here. That's the best part about craftster feeling the craft love.  Grin

Does anyone else really enjoy saying Cockapoo? Reminds me of Steve Carrell in Evan Almighty.
25  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Oscar the Pomeranian on: February 10, 2008 03:48:57 AM
My Swap partner received her items, so I can post this now! I made this for the Valentine's Day Swap https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=224361.30. She wasn't a fan of Valentine's Day, so I focused on the things she loves, like her dogs. This is of Oscar, he passed away last year. The picture was amazing and I had to draw him. It's done on velour paper in pastels.

26  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Chinchilla Portrait <3 on: February 07, 2008 02:03:31 PM

27  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A Pug Christmas on: December 06, 2007 12:07:23 PM
I finally got this back from my printer. My scanner and digital camera is still broken Cry

This is my Christmas card for this year. It's going to people that I've done business with and family and friends. I love pugs but I've never gotten to draw one before. I thought this would be a good idea for a card. I've never had my own Christmas cards before so this is exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.

Feedback and criticism is always appreciated.  Cheesy
28  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Portrait of My Little Cousin on: December 04, 2007 04:16:05 PM

I just remembered that I forgot to post this drawing. I finished it a while back and I finally got a frame for it. I'm going to be mailing it out to them soon. My cousins just moved back to the east coast so this will be a Christmas present/house warming present. I'm going to throw in a couple of things for the boys too.

This drawing was done from from his birth announcement. I also created a portrait for their older son's birth announcement a couple years ago and now they'll have a matching set. I'm so excited. Here's the older portrait. I know I posted it on here before but I don't fell like digging up the old post.

Feedback is always appreciated! Both were done in pastel. Thanks for looking guys!

29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Some stuff I worked on on: November 30, 2007 10:42:02 AM
I made this one for the panda swap. It's done in colored pencil.

This one was a commissioned piece done in pastels. The dog is an Alaskan Eskimo named Rocky, he was a lot of fun to work on.

Thanks for looking!
