that bag is....insanely cool. i really really like brown corduroy messenger bags...and everyone here on craftster seems to have one. not only do i not trust my sewing skills, but would a self-sewn bag be up to the task of carrying my books all the way across campus? love love love love love your bag.

hm. i have nnnooo idea what you could do if you wanted to put heavier things in it. my hypothesis is to do a super 'zigzag' stich instead of a regular stich....just experment with heavier and heavier things in a proto-type bag...thats what id do..

still intensely interested. i am doing a research paper for class on this topic. im sorry if this is bad.

renae: sorry that this board has sort of become a 'some people are clueless and want to know more board because they think this is really interesting and want to write a paper on it' board. i think we all think your hair clip is rockin'. so yea.

thats for the info on straight-edginess, guys...its really interesting to hear about the different views on the same set of ideals...like EnchantedSushi being a 'quiet' 'sxe' and other people who get 'sxe' tatoos and seem to take alot of pride in it...just three more questions and then ill stop asking them and let every 'sxe'-er get on with thier lives....

my questions, for you, the 'straight edge'-er:
-In your view, are 'sxe'-ers more likely to be affiliated with a religion? If so, what one?
-Also, are you a democrat or republican? is this because of you being 'sxe'?
-Lastly, what kind of music do you listen to? Do you actually listen to Minor Threat?

Thanks for your replies...i can use them in my paper (is that alright?) If you think any of these questions are inappropriate in anyway, feel free to PM me and i will revise/take them down.

hey! i have one of those modified pencil skirts! mine is faux-chanel looking. i bought it at tar-je` so i could use it as a pattern to make more skirts from what i find at goodwill  Wink im so sneaky.

oh, and if you make a circle skirt, make a shorter one, as opposed to a longer ankle length one. they look supersupercute. AND you can find the pattern in one of those poodle skirt patterns from simplicity or whatever.

i say either pencil or circle. i made a really cute knee length circle skirt a while back. theyre soo easy to do.  perhaps go for the whole 'i wish i lived in the 1950s'-look?
