12  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Which is your favorite cookbook? on: February 01, 2009 05:37:46 PM
I like the Woman's Day Cookbook but more often use online sites such as www.allrecipes.com.  The comments really help with modifications.

Beautiful job, great workmanship.  There is a trench very similar that I would like to make, but not in heavy material.

17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fusible Fleece?? anyone? on: January 08, 2009 07:35:27 PM
There are 2 brands that I use.
http://expertstitch.com/9720.html  (HTC brand)
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3136&PRODID=prd48727  (Pellon Brand-Thermolam Plus)

Pellon also sells another fusible fleece - don't get it unless it says "ThermolamPlus". I've used it and hated it. It is not soft at all.

Good luck
18  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: Pictures of craft fair setup - Please post! on: October 28, 2008 04:53:21 AM
The wire rack was actually an old closet shelf that I wasn't using.  I will also be doing 2 indoor fairs beginning of Dec and need to think about other ways to display.  I'm going to check out freecycle and craigslist for shutter doors.  A coat rack will be hard for me to transport.
Will let you know what I come up with!
19  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: Do you take custom orders at craft fairs and does it work well? on: October 18, 2008 09:40:24 AM
I've only done 2 craft fairs so far and received several orders from both for custom orders.   I also make handbags, totes, wristlets and the likes.  I bring a binder with all of my fabric selections and let the customer choose from that.  Take full payment including shipping fees.  I use a carbon receipt book so that they get a copy too.   So far it has worked out great for me.
