31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Someone already has said this, but a Simpsons swap? on: August 12, 2007 03:21:58 PM
Or if someone did suggest this, I missed it. I did miss it. Tongue

I can't swap yet, but I think it'd be cool to see the outcome of this swap.
32  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Ribbon Yarn-Best stitch pattern for scarf? on: August 06, 2007 04:56:23 PM
I've tried different stitch patterns on ribbon yarn, but I keep frogging it! I just don't like it!

I tried drop stitch by wrapping the yarn three times around and it comes out all wonky.

Anyone know of a good stitch pattern that would show off ribbon yarn?
33  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Gorgeous stuff I want to remake-how? on: July 26, 2007 06:10:54 PM
I came across this top and it's just gorgeous! I was wondering how would I go about making this? Views of it are here and here. I think I know the basics and the stitches used, but how to get it shirt-shaped, I don't know.

Yes, I've been browsing flickr today, and now I've found something else. These scarves look really pretty. I would contact the OP, but I don't know how and we don't seem to speak the same language. How?
34  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Sort of related to craftster-Save my entire favorites into a document? on: July 26, 2007 05:04:19 PM
Okay, so I was going through my favorites today like I always do, and it popped into my mind how many favorites I had. If I ever lost my favorites, it would take years to find all the sites again. So, I was hoping if anybody knew how to make those favorites into a folder that I could save onto my computer and put on a CD.

Thanks! Smiley
35  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Need help finding pattern website on: July 24, 2007 06:00:20 PM
Okay, I recently went on this website, but now I can't find it for the life of me. Some of knitandtonic's patterns were on there. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks in advance!
36  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: All things Harry Potter-along (with pattern links) on: July 22, 2007 01:27:21 PM
With the movie and the book ( Cry) being out, I thought it would be proper if we crocheted things to go along with it! There's Luna's purple-ish cardigan, Luna's scarf, Harry amigurumi, Hedwig, Hagrid's Pets, Dobby hats, and of course the ever popular scarves. Sorry if I left anyone else's fabulous HP crocheted crafts out. There's just too many!

So, anyway, those links should get your juices flowing. Who wants to join?
37  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I need your help on how to make these tops! on: July 12, 2007 07:11:13 PM
I'm too cheap to buy the magazines to make these, so I want to try to make my own...with your help, of course.

First up, is this babydoll top. For this, I was wondering how I do the top bust section.

Second, is this. I have no idea how to do the construction whatsoever.

So, please help and I really appreciate it! Kiss
38  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Barley Soup? on: July 10, 2007 06:48:02 PM
I had some on my trip to Europe and it was delish! I'd never heard of barley soup til then and now I want to make some at home. Anyone want to recommend a good recipe?
39  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / What's for supper? on: July 10, 2007 09:57:24 AM
Okay, so I stole this idea from a forum I lurk at, but I think it would be fun to share what we're for having for dinner and perhaps share some recipes.

Tonight we're having veggie soup. Celery, tomatoes, potatoes, onions...Very healthy and very yummy.

What are you having for dinner? Wink
