1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help me find a pattern please! on: March 15, 2008 04:09:52 PM
I was on Ravelry and I saw this scarf. It was done with very bulky yarn and there were directions, not a pattern, on how to do it. It was finger-knitted, except with the entire hand. I accidentally closed down my windows, and even though I used the pattern searcher, I can't find it now. I'm going crazy!

Please help me! TIA! Smiley
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochetme Crazy Belt pattern on: January 01, 2008 06:22:52 PM
I saw this pattern and decided it was great to use up the the scraps I have left. The problem is...I don't get it. Tongue

Ch 6. Pull the long end of the yarn through the last chain as if you were finishing off at the end of a project.

Is the "long end" the working end? And is last chain the one farthest from the hook or closest?

Skip 4 inches and make a new slip knot.

Skip 4 inches of what? Huh

Thanks in advance. Smiley
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How do I make this? on: December 28, 2007 11:17:11 PM

I'm guessing that I knit a rectangle and seam it up? How do I make the holes for the ribbon to go through?
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with Pattern on: December 26, 2007 05:45:36 PM
I need help with the clover scarf.

In the second row where it says to "1 sc in the 1st two leaf of the clover, ch 1, 1 sc in the 2nd and 3rd leaf*"

I don't know where to do the sc in!

Please help! Thanks! Smiley
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with Capelet! on: December 16, 2007 03:12:41 PM
I'm trying to make this and I just don't get it.

Take your neckline and arm measurements - I got out a T-shirt that fits just right, and measured the neckline and arm circumferences.  I ended up with 18" at the neck, and 14" around each arm.

So I measure around the entire neckhole and around the entire sleeve?

Ribbing: You basically fake a 1x1 rib.  The gauge is 3 rows = 1 inch, so I ended up with 54 rows = 18 inches.  I added one row so the ribs are symmetrical (so you'll want an odd number of rows).  The pattern is ch 6, *ch1 and turn, sc into the back loops only,* repeat from the * until you have enough rows.

I don't get how the ribbing works here.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I taught my mom how to crochet!!! on: December 16, 2007 02:20:52 PM
I taught my mom how to crochet today. She knows how to chain and single crochet now! I'm so proud. Grin
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Color Pencil Jewelry? on: December 14, 2007 04:41:39 PM
I saw a website once and it made jewelry out of colored pencils. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What to do with Patons Be Mine? on: December 08, 2007 03:31:45 PM
I have two balls of this stuff because my mom and I went to Big Lots and got it for $1 each.

I was planning to crochet with it, but its really clumpy, so I can't see anything. So, now I have no idea what to make. I looked at Ravelry for ideas, but people mostly made toys out of this and I want it to be something wearable.

Any ideas?
