Thanks very much!  I was kind of nervous to post in this forum- I usually stick to art etc. but I was just so darn proud of myself!
43  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I made a charm bracelet! on: August 21, 2007 10:04:06 AM
I made this the other day and am really proud of how it turned out.
I used old necklaces etc., found things, and some new stuff.  I love the mix of old/ new, and expensive/ cheap, as well as the look of mixed metals.  Now I know how hard this whole jewelry thing can be- but I am in love with doing it.  Note the sweet lockets, the pretty sterling silver beads...oh, and the sparrow I got from AlteredMommy in a swap!

Comments would make my day!

I saw folks using that type of stain on a concrete floor on one of those home make over shows, they wanted a tile type design too- they just taped the lines before painting.  Good luck!

I have a question, has anyone tried using crackle medium?  I got some that gives a "weathered wood effect".  The directions were to apply acrylic paint, let it dry, apply the medium, then seal with acrylic sealant.  Didn't work so well for me.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
