1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Jewelry set swap on: May 16, 2009 02:07:46 PM
Hey guys, just wanted to throw an idea out there and see if there is any interest in it. I was thinking we could do a swap and each member of the swap would buy all the beads, chains, hooks, gems, and such to make a necklace, earrings, and bracelet that they like and send it to another member to put their unique spin on it. I was actually just making this thread to gauge the interest in this. Any comments, questions or the such are very welcome. Smiley

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My first clutch! - Fixed the Images on: February 01, 2009 10:06:28 PM
This is my first clutch that actually turned out halfway decent.

I've had the fabric for about 4 years now, I fell in love with the print, and its taken me this long to decide what to make with some of it. lol

I sandwiched upholstery fabric between the outside and the lining to give it some structure.

I wanted to add a button closure, but the buttons that I had, I thought were black at a glance, but ended up being a navy blue, so I just used some velcro.

I feel it still needs something, it just doesn't look "finished" yet. I tried adding a black bow to it, but I didn't like it.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / fleece neckwarmer on: November 17, 2008 02:25:23 PM
I've been seeing all the cute and cuddly neckwarmers that everyone has been making, and I would love to make one too, but I can't knit or crochet. I would like to try to make one from some fleece I have.

Whats the general shape of a neckwarmer? Is it a just a simple rectangle?

I feel kinda silly posting this, but just want to know before i start cutting lol
