1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / LESSON I'VE LEARNED on: May 28, 2007 06:50:56 AM

I only wanted to share something it has happened to me today.

I make tote bags and a girl from my work asked me to make one for her. She told me she would pay for it but we did not talk about the amount.

I made one which I didn't like the quality and I told her it would take some more days because I wanted to repeat it. Today I told her the product was finished and she asked me how much it costed. I thought 18 Euros was a fair price but it seemed too much for her. She wanted to pay 15 Euros... I have to see her every day and I don't want to be a witch, so I have accepted 15 euros...

The worst is that her friend ordered me another one last week and I'm sure she will tell me to pay 15 too...

What I've learnt and I want to share with you is that I'm not going to accept any other "order" if I do not have clear, the kind of product they want and the price they have accepted and they will pay!   Shocked
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Snap machine on: May 07, 2007 05:08:09 AM

I want to make some new purses and I've decided to stop with zips and start with snap buttons.

The problem is I guess I need a button machine. I've tried to find one if these in Barcelona, but no luck...

Does anyone know where can I purchase one? Maybe by internet???

Thanks a lot!!!!   Wink
3  EUROPE / SPAIN / Pintar camisetas - Serigrafa on: April 23, 2007 08:16:03 AM

I'm trying to learn how to paint a T-shirt in a "professional" way.

I found great tutorials in this site, but I'm Spanish, so I don't understand all the technical names and products.

There is any "charitable soul" who could explain me  the process???  Huh
