1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / New Website. on: December 15, 2012 12:50:37 PM
Hi guys!  I just opened my new website

I'd love if anyone has any ideas on how to be found.  I do not have a huge advertising budget.  Any ideas on this?

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Soft Mocs on: December 15, 2012 12:09:44 PM
Hi guys!  I haven't been here in a while, but I do check all the wonderful stuff being created by all you crafty people.  I have been busy, creating patterns, participating in Craft shows. My main Gig is Soft Mocs.  They are beautiful slippers with crochet wool uppers and non slip leather bottoms.  Sheepskin insoles provide ultimate warmth and comfort (I'm in Canada and It get's cold!)  I do all the cutting, punching leather, shaping the sole and crochet work.  It's quite a process!

I have been working on some baby toys and softies for some mom 2 mom sales.  Here are some of my completed projects from the line I call "inspired by nature"  I had a lot of fun working with bamboo, hemp, and organic cotton  (Image heavy!!)

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / new hoodie on: October 01, 2007 06:27:16 AM
good from far, but far from good.  I'm happy with most of this hoodie, but the mistakes scream at me when i wear it.  I love the pockets, cuffs, zipper.  I don't like how the hood went in.  Over all, i'm happy with it,

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / great fabric, but what to do with it? on: September 28, 2007 06:43:23 AM
I'm really into t shirt recons, and when i was at le village (value village) yesterday, i found this shrit that has sooooooo much potential.  It is actually a really ugly cut, but the color and stripes are great.  It is red and black small stripes, really Emily the strangeish, but it is a turtle neck, and i would never wear it the way it is.  so heres the info
regular type stretch knit fabric.
long sleves and a turtle neck.
super rad stripes
any ideas?  I thought it might make cool sleves in a t shirt recon,
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / new stuff i was finally able to get pictures of on: January 16, 2007 03:30:03 PM
ok, i finally got my camera hooked up to the computer, and got some pictures of new stuff uploaded.  I'd love your opinions.

here are two hats.  I really like the green, white and pink floral granny square one.  The other one is really bright, but my dd likes it

this one is my all time favourite project.  It is a duster jacket with a hood that i made for my 18 month old.  I didn't use a pattern, and it turned out really good imo

Last but deffentily not least is spanky.  He was a gift for my daughter.  we all love spanky around here

This is an afghan that i made for myself.  I have never made a project for myself before, and it felt good.  My oldest daughter tried to get me to give it to her but i was strong!  the funny thing is that i call it the nepolitian blanket, and in one of my crochet mags, i saw an afghan made in the same colors, but this was after i made mine.  I think they named it some name that had a reference to icecream.  I used barnat satin, and i like the way it feels, but i'm not happy with barnat, and we'll leave that for another session.  Yes the jacket was made with leftover yarn from this afghan

This one was a fun project to do.  I wanted to work with quality yarn, but couldn't afford it so I went to the thrift store, and for $2.50 i was able to buy an angora sweater.  I took it apart, and made this for my daughter for christmas.  It is sooooo soft.  in the second pic you can see the little sequens i sewed on the back of the coller.  I saw this style sweater in a store and thought i could make it.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / some clothes i'v been working on on: January 13, 2007 04:35:35 PM
I hate the traditional patterns that you find when looking for crochet patterns.  I'v found a few sites on the net that sell some pretty good stuff, but i mostly just make my own patterns.  here is some of the work i'v been doing lately
duster jacket

my version of the floral fantasy pullover

halloween costume fo my little monkey

BICO sweater with an original hat

page boy cap

fist day of school shrug
