1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Merino Wool! What the heck...?? on: December 17, 2008 12:44:04 PM
Now I know this isnt 100% knitting related... but I was hoping someone could help.  I love the look of this scarf.  I know its pretty much only knotted... but my question is the yarn.  Do you buy it with the little tufts coming out like that or do you have to do something special?

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / New earings and OHHHH I love lockets! on: October 15, 2008 08:24:05 AM
Hi guys!  I have been M.I.A. for a while now... but I have been working on jewelry.  I am what you would call a craft whore... I cant stick with just one.
I dont know how good I am at this but I like it.  Please tell me what you guys think of these earings and the locket.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Harley T-shirt and Pop Tabs on: September 15, 2007 01:09:32 PM
My newest and also my most favorite project EVER!  I love carrying this purse around!
I made it from a vintage harley t-shirt from the thrift shop ($1.50)
A BUNCH of pop tabs (pretty much free)
and some lining fabric (pretty much free)
Total Cost about $1.50

Sorry there are so many pics...
Let me know what you think!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Camo Messenger on: July 25, 2007 01:56:54 PM
Okay... so It's obovious that I was watching "Full Metal Jacket" while I crafted this messenger bag.  I love it soooooo much.  I think the contrast of the camo and the hot pink is delicious!
=) Let me know what you think!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Rag Quilt Purse on: May 08, 2007 05:29:27 AM
I think my mom will quite litterally kill me if I dont make her a rag quilt purse for mother's day (as in this weekend!). So... here's my issue... I can cut some squares, but when in the process do I quilt... HOW do I quilt?!
Can anyone help a fellow craftster out (so I don't have to die)
Like this... only a purse.
=) Thanks
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Black Tweed (winter coat) and Pink Sweater Purse on: March 27, 2007 12:05:45 PM
Like many fellow craftsters I use ALL of my scraps for projects.
This purse came from scraps of fabric that I made my winter coat out of (tweed) and from a friend's birthday purse.  Oh and pink satin inside.
It is based on a pattern, but the pattern was altered quite a bit.

Let me know what you think!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / B&W Summer Tank - Bring on the heat! on: March 27, 2007 11:53:58 AM
So, summer is just around the corner and like many fellow craftsters, I have been dreaming up new summer clothes!
This one happens to have been for a swap, but I got enough fabric for another!
*I hope my swap partner doesnt mind me using her "action" shot.*

The back top portion laces up. =)

This was also in the March personal swap gallery.
Let me know what you think!

**The top is a pattern (vogue 8079).  The pattern is super easy and flattering!  The fabric came from Jo Ann Fabrics (clearance section) $2 a yard.  Thanks for all of the sweet comments!**
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Warning!!! Pink Overload! Pink Sweater Purse. on: March 03, 2007 11:34:07 AM
For thoes of you who get around (like, over to the clothing boards) you might recognize this purse.  I posted it there with a few tops and things that I had made.  I just love it so much that I want to spread it around and share with you purse masters!  The one that I am working on now has the same pink sweater material for the top and brown tweed for the sides and bottom.  I also altered the style to make it a bit shorter.  Let me know what you think!

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Messanger Backpack on: March 03, 2007 11:06:27 AM
By request for a personal swap I altered the pattern for a messanger bag to make it more back pack like... For a less than normal closure I added 3 snaps to the front.
It is made from sturdy canvas and the lining is toile print.

And here it is in it's new home:

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / To get ya'll caught up... Lots of pics! on: February 11, 2007 11:49:52 AM
I haven't been on craftster very long... but you guys have inspired me so much!  I just wanted to finally show off everything that I have made.
I also want to ask...
Is it hard for everyone else to get mirror shots right?!
I mean, I look rediculous!
On to the pics!-

No. 1-
You can't see well, but this is my favorite shirt.  It is made out of think black jersey knit with a cowl neck and tunic length.

No. 2-
First shirt with out a pattern.  Same style as the first shirt -tunic length, 3/4 sleeves but with a hood and deep v-neck.

No. 3-
Tank with flounce at bottom.  It turned out pretty slinky- but I love the print.

No. 4-
After I made the tank... well, I just had to make something to wear over it.  This is one of thoes mistake... work with what you have things.  THis didn't have a pattern either.  I wanted it to be fitted, but the only zipper I had was too short for the whole thing.  So, I made a wide "waist" band around the bottom and put the zipper in at the top.  And of corse, it has a hood.  I will put hoods on everything I possibly can!

No. 5-
I know, I know... it's a purse, but I love this purse.  I made it for a friend's birthday.  Her fave color is pink ( bet you couldnt guess) and she is a music major (but you couldnt guess)

so... Now you all are caught up on my projects.
=)  Thanks for stopping by!
