OOHHH!!  Wonderful job!

I'm lovin' the shirt.
I've been wanting to recon one or two of my brother's old shirts like this.. but I'm afraid that I'll mess it up too much,  Roll Eyes

134  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Skirt to tank top on: January 14, 2007 05:36:40 PM
I had this skirt laying around & I noticed that I had two of them..  I've been trying to make some tank top type things, and none of them had been successful enough that I would honestly wear them outside of my room.
I somehow got a little lucky with making this skirt into a tank top thingy.  Cheesy   It's simple.. I wasn't going for anything too fancy.

This is the skirt I made the shirt out of:

please excuse the mess in my room.. it's a complete disaster, heh.

& here is the finished product:

^ front view

^ side view (just ignore the white from the bra straps, heh)

I'm not very successful at getting any back shots, but there isn't anything special about the back.
I used fabric glue to put the Triforce  Grin on (my sewing machine wouldn't cooperate with me AT ALL!! with that)

What do you think?

The bottom of the skirt with the little flowery stuff on it.. I didn't use that on this shirt.. I figure I could use it for some other project later on, heh.   Roll Eyes
135  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cassette Tape earrings on: January 14, 2007 05:13:00 PM
I took apart a cassette tape the other day (to attempt at making another craft thingy.) & I didn't want to throw away the stuff that was inside it.. soo..   Roll Eyes

I made these!  Grin

they're simple... but neat   Tongue

Ahh!  I love it!
I especially love the color.   Roll Eyes  I like it with the belt, did you make that too?

...now I have an idea of what I should do with one or two of my longer skirts  :-)  YAY!
137  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: *gamer geek yoga pants!* on: January 10, 2007 04:48:00 PM
I'm new here and I got a sewing machine for christmas, so I wanted something that was simple-ish to do.  Roll Eyes

Soooo.. I used this pattern and made myself some!!  They look awesome (except for my crooked sewing & such  Undecided)!

I did make a mistake of using a medium shirt though.. so I added some random fabric on the side of the legs.  :-)
So, now I have some rather awesome looking pants, but no one to show them to because everyone in my house is sleeping!  Hehe.
