13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A Jacket! on: August 13, 2008 02:42:23 PM
i made this jacket last year in my sewing class. its red linen with this thick satin-y black lining. i love it but unfortunately it turned out really formal compared to how i imagined it and as i have no formal events to attend, it sits in my closet. the pattern was vogue something. i can't find it on the website anymore though so i dont know the number.

sorry the qualtiy of these is bad. its my phone's camera.

i used the school's embroidery machine to add flowers to the cuffs.

the buttons are my favorite part cause i think they're so pretty.

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / iron-on removal? on: April 20, 2008 10:46:01 AM
so, i dunno if this is where this question goes but whatever.
i just got this amazingly awesome eco-friendly green bag that i got LOVE! but it has a giant iron-on on one side of the company's name. i don't like it. how can i get it to come off? is there some special removal technique?

please and thank you!!
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first project on: April 13, 2008 05:46:09 PM
so yesterday i failed my ham radio test and went to lurk around craftster to feel better. i saw wibit's dog https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239403.0 and felt like maybe i should finally make and post something. then i saw that it was crocheted. Angry i've never been able to master crocheting so i just sat down and tried to knit a dog using her tutorial. the final product didn't turn out how i envisioned but it looks pretty good. it reminds me of my old dog when she was a puppy.

i hope these links work, i'm new to posting images

the pics actually aren't as blurry as they seem, i tried to make the dog furry like in the tutorial
18  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / has anyone used butterick 5088? on: March 30, 2008 03:58:03 PM
i wanna make view A from butterick 5088. i was just wondering if anyone's ever used it and how well it all turned out? also, would alterations be easy on this pattern too? i'm still kinda new to sewing so sometimes even the simplest most obvious things are confusing

20  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / help re-creating tank? on: February 01, 2008 06:46:27 PM
i saw this tank on Hannah Montana once and loved it at first sight. I finally found that Urban Outfitters sold it but by then it was sold out. So i decided its crocheted, i have a hook and yarn, and i really really want this top. does anyone know what type of crochet stitch is used to get the same detail on the body of the tank?
please and thank you!

i'm not really sure but i think the stitch is a very loose V-stitch using very thin yarn. does any know if thats correct?
