Thanks again guys, I think of all the projects that I've made that this one
is the one I'm happiest with ...especially because my son is so happy with it.

I saw this a while back but haven't seen any projects made from it yet.
I wonder how well it works.

What a great pattern, thank you so much!
I can see how it can be adapted very easily to make other animals.
Thanks again!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I really appreciate them!  Grin
I'm really happy with his face but I would love to change his body more,
maybe simplify it so that the body and legs are all one part.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to feel all the Hobbes love!

When I first started the project I gathered all the books together and started
flipping through them to find good pics of Hobbes as the stuffed toy.
But I would start rereading the books and would get lost for hours in their amazing world.

..Hobbes cutting off all of Calvin's hair..the transmorgifier spitting out copies of Calvin..
the two plotting to steal Susie's doll Betsy
and one of my favourite scenes where  to the horror of Cavin,
Hobbes falls into the hands of Susie and ends up having tea with her.

teachingjonah: I'll try and post some more pics today...the sun has disappeared so
they might not be the best quality.

My 21 year old son requested Hobbes for Christmas.
This is what I came up with.

Thanks guys!
Lusty butterflies, I've bookmarked those desserts too, aren't they amazing!
Yeah maybe we are long lost twins, we seem to be thinking the same thing    Smiley
