21  Making a sombrero for a mexican amigurumi boy... (img incl) chosen the mouth:) in Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions by *Owly* on: June 22, 2007 02:47:31 PM
Okay, I really need help deciding on this, I'm almost finished with this little guy, who happens to be Sarita's (my avatar) big brother.

ETA- Now I'm working on a sombrero, and needing help, how can I make it pointy enough on top, and once I've done the crown, how do I do the increases and decreases to make the "brim" area all the way around, so that it's flat and then curved back up?
Again, any help/suggestions are much appreciated!

I need help figuring out what to do with his mouth, the two options that I'm trying to decide on are a mouth with black embroidery floss that's just a smile shape, or with red embroidery floss.

So red or black for the mouth? What do you think?
Any help would help out, please!
Thanks for looking, too. Cheesy

22  Past amigurumi, come look! img heavy **& a link to the free penuin pattern** in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by *Owly* on: June 20, 2007 02:25:51 PM
ETA: I just wanted to let you know, the penguin pattern by anapaulaoli is now free, she has it listed over at her amigurumipatterns.blogspot.com.

Hi fellow craftsters, I just wanted to share some of the past amigurumi's that I've made, mostly for Christmas gifts, but two were my own patterns.

a whale I made my mom for Christmas, the pattern is from keymistress on etsy

a penguin I made for my sister from anapaulaoli on etsy

a turtle for my other sister from anapaulaoli, front view and side

a little selah doll for my little girl's 6 month b-day

and the first luchador that I made, El Rayo Azul, I'm modifying his pattern so that his face is better, like my other luchador's, I was stumped when I was trying to come up with his face.  I think I might fix his boots too, to be more foot like at the bottom, otherwise I really like him too! Cheesy

Thanks for looking!
