1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Frogging crocheted sleeves from the bottom to shorten them? on: December 20, 2010 08:32:17 PM
The topic pretty much says it all. After I blocked a sweater I realized the sleeves are way too long, but they have a cap at the top and are crocheted in place so I'd rather shorten them from the bottom up, but I've never frogged crochet that way. Does it work?
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Filigree Cardigan Question on: December 17, 2010 09:39:08 PM
Hello =) I'm currently working on this pattern and I got to the point that says "shape cap" and now I'm lost. Could anyone tell me where I'm supposed to join for this piece? Help would be great. Thanks!

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / DROPS Designs Waistcoat on: May 17, 2010 07:32:44 PM
I finally finished this! It took about a week but since I've been flying through Everyday Crochet patterns this one seemed like an eternity (stupid G hook). Anyway, I like the result but am purposely not showing you the armholes. The pattern had the armholes work up in a really dumb way so their incredibly loose on me. I'm actually working on slip stitching around them to try to get them to be a little less wavy and dumb. If I make this again I'll be adjusting it. Anyway, without further ado, my waistcoat!!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crocheting hurts my neck! Suggestions? on: May 05, 2010 10:47:20 AM
I'm not old, not yet 20, and yet I find when I spend hours crocheting I end up with some pretty intense neck pain. The kind that lasts for days! So I was wondering if anyone else relates and also if there are any solutions. I've tried crocheting with a pillow on my lap so I wouldn't be looking down as much but that didn't seem to help. Maybe there's an idea I've overlooked. I've got around 10 WIPs and a whole list of things to make over the summer so I don't want to be slowed down by neck pain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Galena on: April 28, 2010 04:43:45 PM
Finally done! This is Galena from Doris Chan's Everyday Crochet. This is so vain, but I absolutely love how this turned out! I used Naturally Caron Spa in Ocean Spray and switched to a smaller hook after the bust to achieve a fitted look. Comments?

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Valentine's Day Coasters on: February 11, 2010 11:07:50 AM
I am completely in love with Valentine's Day this year (even though I'm single..go figure) so I hooked up these coasters. They are sooo easy to make, and fast! I made the lot in two hours. It's an adapted version of a pattern from the Jan/Feb issue of Crochet Today. Let me know what you think  Smiley

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Vintage Pineapple Doily on: December 12, 2009 04:00:51 PM
I made this for my mom from a vintage pattern. It was a lot of fun to make and since it's a bamboo thread it's soft but also durable. It's my first doily so I'm pretty excited about it. Please tell me what you think  Smiley

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Slouchy Puff Stitch Cap on: January 16, 2009 11:32:35 AM
This is a hat I just made from this pattern

I look pretty bad in hats and forgive the camera phone image. I made this for a friend! She loves hats and I think she'll look great in this so I'm excited. Let me know what you think =)

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Alice Cullen's Black Shrug on: January 11, 2009 11:30:38 AM
Hey guys!
So I saw Twilight for the third time last night and something jumped out at me. In the scene at the Cullen's home, Alice is wearing a lovely black shrug. Sadly I cannot seem to find a good picture of it, but for anyone who's seen the movie I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. So, I've got a few questions.

1. Does anyone have a good picture?
2. Was it crocheted or knit?
3. Is there a pattern that looks like her shrug?
