Hm, thanks a lot! I'll look around.

I asked my mum about it and she said she'd actually seen some portable speakers at like... Target that would work. I was pleasantly surpsrised!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Help, Please! I want to make an iPod-playing purse! on: February 12, 2007 11:47:38 AM
I just bought some absolutely gorgeous fabric from cheap threads and want to make a giant purse out of it. That, I can do.

And there's this little shop here on the South Side of Pittsburgh that sells purses with speakers built in and an iPod hookup, so that you can play your iPod through your purse. Awesome, right? Except they cost like $60, and none of them are big enough.

My problem is that I don't know where on earth I would buy the speakers and ipod hookup to put into a purse that I would make myself. Does anyone have any ideas? Or am I going to have to sell all of my earthly possessions to buy one of the purses at the shop just to rip it apart for the speakers?

If you have any ideas at all let me know! If this ever gets done I will post pictures and a tute for sure.

Holy freaking crap, those pillows are a great idea and turned out great. I hoped you did the stitching like that on purpose, because it looks really good. Are the unicorns... screenprinted?

That's gorgeous. I love unconventional picture frames, and that's such a good idea!

I would either leave it the way it is, or scatter a couple of black or silver sequins. Just a couple though. I think that would match nicely.

This is awesome -- I wonder if I could pull it off?

If you post a tute, I'll definitely make them. Blue and White?

Do you think I can get that wool in the US?

Haha sorry for all the questions.
