1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Bookbinding stitch Question on: December 08, 2008 02:54:17 PM
Hello, I've been searching everywhere for a type of stitch that does not require the pages be folded into signatures. I want to use the regular 8.5 in by 11 in. paper and keep it at that size. Is there a stitch I could try? If not, where can I find paper double that width? Thanks.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Woodburning is my new obsession (pic heavy) on: October 01, 2008 06:51:51 PM
So I got a woodburing tool and I started playing with it (and burning myself as well) and this is what I've come up with so far.

My favorite... Sylvia Plath's "Mad Girl's Love Song"... one of my favorite poems.

Love in 5 different languages.

Psalm 23

Thanks for looking!  Grin
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Acrylic Blue Heart Necklace on: September 07, 2008 01:04:27 PM
So I bought a kit that came with several different jewelry findings and beads and I made this...

Comments welcome!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tiny domino pendants, button and repurposed earrings, and necklace. (Pic heavy) on: September 01, 2008 07:39:46 AM
Hello, I found these tiny kids domino set and thought they would be perfect for pendants since I have yet to find regular dominoes. I also made some earrings out of some vintage buttons and from other earring parts from broken jewelry.

Sorry about the image quality. The beads for this pendant all come from other jewelry. The heart is the same one I used for other earrings.

Better Image of the beads.

Domino tiles... they measure a little over an inch and I have since then added a jump ring to them.

The back of the first two.

The earrings... the glass heart beads have pink flowers on them.

Vintage button earrings.

Buttons...I don't know if I should turn them into rings or magnets... suggestions?

Thanks for looking!

Hello, I recently made these tote bags after having to minimize my fabric stash... I had lots of fun making them. Sorry about the picture quality.

Broken Heart... I really like this one... I think it's my favorite

Comments, criticisms welcome!
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Buttons for your birthday card on: August 25, 2008 06:11:26 PM
Hello, this is my first post in this board... I love all of the things I've seen here. Anyway, I have a lot of scrapbooking paraphernalia and was wanting to reduce that amount by actually using them, so I started playing around with making cards... I've only made two so far, and they are nowhere as good as the ones I've seen here but I'm rather pleased with the way they turned out.

Both of them...

Smiles for your birthday

Inside of card... "Happy Birthday"

Hugs and Kisses!

Inside of card... the words are a sticker actually.
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jack's beads and more... on: August 24, 2008 08:19:42 PM
After going to the flea market for a couple of times, I collected lots of goodies to use for my new hobby jewelry making.

It's a shame I don't like soda.

This one is one of my favorites.

Those beads were part of a Jack Sparrow headband for kids... sorry Jack.

I would love comments on them, I had lots of fun making them.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / White Flowers Cotton Purse on: August 22, 2008 05:41:03 PM
Hello! I have neglected sewing most of the summer, but one of the few things I did make was this purse. I completely loved it and my sister did too, so I gave it to her. I will definitely make myself another one soon... luckily I still have more of that fabric. The inside is just a plain white cotton fabric and it is very spacey. I would love to hear your opinions many of my works have been inspired by other craftsters!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Skeleton Keys, Roses, Wooden Flowers, and more on: August 22, 2008 05:31:09 PM
Hello, so during the summer, I have been more interested in making jewelry than sewing, and I made these with beads I bought and found around in my room.

Necklace I made using a vintage skeleton key and glass beads.

Bracelet with wire wrapped beads.

This one is one of my favorites.

It has matching earrings too.

Lastly, these flower earrings.

Let me know what you all think... these have been my first tries at making jewelry and I am pleased with the results.
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / First Reconstructed Suitecase! on: July 16, 2008 06:20:14 PM
Okies, well I've had this suitcase that I bought at Value Village about a year ago just taking up space in my closet. About a week ago, I took it out and decided to finally fix it up... I took out my mod podge, old books, paint and started working. After about 2 hours, I had this...

I found the outside images in an old manga magazine I had and the inside has poems from Frost, Plath, Poe, and Shakespeare. Comments and suggestions appreciated!
