2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: *Recon* Fleece vest to... baby car seat cover! on: January 16, 2007 07:21:59 PM
That is so awesome. I have so many friends that are pregnant and that would be a great gift to give. I would love to have close up pics to see exactly how you did it. I think they would love it. I have seen those covers in stores as well and I find a lot of them ugly or so expensive this is a nice, warm cheap version.  Grin
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Latest News / Re: 12/16/06 - Porny porn porn again!! on: January 13, 2007 09:29:34 AM
This is the first time I have come across this and have to say I started LMAO when I saw it. I was on the phone with my brother and told him what was going on. Like really someone really has a lot of time on his hands to be doing this. Does he get his jollies out of bothering a craft forum. Moron. I reported one thread to the mods but then realized it was in pretty much every section. Seriously guy go away we aren't interested take the hint Roll Eyes

Thanks to the mods for being so quick. It is sad this person keeps causing mayhem on the boards. I recently discovered this place and loving it and hate to see this stuff causing problems for all the wonderful members that aren't posting porn for all to see.  Angry

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pink Handbag on: January 06, 2007 10:27:53 AM
Thanks I am blushing now  Embarrassed

The lining is just spare fabric I had and thought it looked great with the solid pink. I basically just cut the same size pieces as the outer fabric and sewed them together and it just sits inside the purse. No pockets or anything fancy because I didn't want to make it too difficult. I have some other friends that saw the purse and they all wanted one for themselves. I haven't had time but I am planning on making them for next Christmas with different variations to it. One would like a zipper closure instead of velcro (Wasn't sure on how to put in snaps.) When it was first finished I wanted to make one in every colour to go with everything.  Cheesy

I sat down one night with a ruler and an empty pack of cigarettes (all my bridesmaids smoke but I don't) and my cell phone. Once of their wants on a purse was one that could fit their smokes and cell phones and a spare lipstick. Made my own pattern used those items as guidelines. It was time consuming with all the measurements but I was happy with the result. It looks pretty small but it can hold quite a bit which I am happy about. And if I ever get bored with it the way it is I can accessorize it to make it a completely different purse.  Grin
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pink Handbag on: January 06, 2007 02:06:51 AM
This is my first time posting one of my craft projects. It isn't as nice as some of the things I have seen created by the members on here but I wanted to share anyway.

I got married in October 2005. My bridesmaids were having problems finding purses to go with their dresses so when my MOH found fabric at Value Village that was an exact match to their dresses an idea formed for me to make them all matching purses. I didn't want to cut the real fabric so I took some spare fabric and came up with this little purse. They loved it. It was the first purse I ever made and I think it turned out pretty good.
