4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Custom Valentines Day Cards on: February 07, 2010 12:03:40 AM
One of the ladies I work with commissioned me to make her a custom card for her kiddo to give out at daycare. He loves cars and elmo so I went with those. They are 4x6 so they can be printed off on photo paper or even cardstock, but she is going to print them on photo paper.

and as soon as she saw it another asked as well!

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Doll House! on: December 25, 2009 06:34:43 PM
My niece desperately wanted a castle for her dolls for Christmas but we were unable to find her one that wasn't a hunk of junk! So my SIL and I headed to Hobby Lobby with our 40% off coupons and bought a kit for a Victorian house! I had 3 days to get it together!  Shocked Shocked And I some how managed to do it too! It took about 40 hours of work but I did it!

everything had to be painted and assembled, the only thing that came pre-assembled was the floor. I will tell you what my kids will probably not get a doll house of their own!  Cry I was ready to set this thing on fire!  Angry but in the end it was so worth it!

I love the wainscoting! I wallpapered the walls with scrap book paper. Some of it is a bit wonky because we figured 3 sheets per room, and didn't take into consideration some of the papers were a one way pattern  Embarrassed

the princess room on the roof! I have more things to go inside the hose but they didn't get done in time!  Undecided
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Garden gnome on: November 01, 2009 11:37:40 PM
I know my costume isn't awesome like most of the ones on here, but I LOVED it! I only dressed up for work, and we were pretty limited to what we could wear. Basically we could do our hair/makeup and wear jeans/t's. So this is what I came up with! the beard took me the longest at about 45 minutes, it was super soft!

beard close up

also excuse te pics, i work 2nd shift and we took them outside after work, so they suck lol
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Halloween Goodies on: October 07, 2009 04:59:30 PM

also this one isn't jewelry but I made it to use for a jewelry catch all. The resin was a beast with this one!
