11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / 11 days by myself with cute fabric [Image Voluptuous] UPDATED! on: June 16, 2009 11:55:34 AM
My roommate went to visit her beau in Seattle for 11 days, so I got the whole place to myself, as well as two deliveries of cute fabric during that time.  We're moving at the end of the month, so I got really motivated and finished a bunch of projects I had laying around, as well as three dresses in as many days.  Enjoy!

I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby yesterday and snatched it up right away.  I'm pretty sure it's curtain fabric:

I love circus motifs:

I put the elephant right in the front!  I heart elephants:

In the same shipment as the red cake fabric was this great Michael Miller stuff -- I have the pink x black scallop print, too, but I'm going to wait on making a dress with it until after I move:

I think I liked it better on the website.  The diamonds throw me off x_x:

A commission that I had for a couple years and finally finished.  Sent it to her a few months ago and it looks sooo cute on her:

I couldn't quite do what I wanted with this dress; there was only a half yard of the white and yard and a half of the black left.  It looks a little maid-y for my taste:

I also love print with cakes and candy on it.  I'm not quite done with it yet; the red ribbons aren't attached, and I plan on making fabric bows for my head and two pin versions to put on blouses or wherever:

I'm leaving for a short vaykay tomorrow, so I figured I'd leave you with a few of the newest pieces I've made.  I'm currently working on another dress (which I hoped to have done before the vacation, but meh, I was lazy) so look forward to that.  Unless specified, I have not made any of the blouses.

Deer Sweetie dress.  Fabric from superbuzzy.com -- it's kind of like canvas. Used no pattern.

So on my quest to find winter boots, I found myself at Journeys.  I got a great pair of boots, as well as an adorable pair of brown Rocket Dog shoes on clearance.  I needed a brown pair of loli-style shoes, and I figured I could even dress 'em up a bit.

So here they are au natural:

I had a small spool of pearlescent off-white bead strand which was sorta "halved" so it could be placed onto a flat surface without stickin' out all funny.  I also used ivory ribbon.

Well here's some more dresses and separates.

I altered the sleeves on this blouse and made the navy blue high-waisted skirt:

A fabric I found at Hancock Fabrics with little boys and girls riding carousels, and I made the blouse as well:

The only photo I have of the Skeleton skirt.  I found this on clearance at JoAnn's Halloween '06.  It's got little dancing skeletons in the black checks:

A dress designed by a customer, made my me.  Disregard the white marks on the front of the dress; I washed 'em off before I sent the dress:

This fabric used to be a tablecloth.  I had most of it done some time ago, and it's been laying around forever, so I finally finished it this weekend. Bodice is pintucked:

Well the reason I haven't posted so long is that I've been getting more commissions (yay!) and I wanted to save up to have a big ol' post for all of you (because it's boring to look at just one picture, yes?).  So here's a bunch of stuff I've made within the last six months or so.

So I  bought these shoes for my friend's wedding in September.  I really loved the slingback peeptoe look, but I really don't wear white shoes.

So after the wedding I decided to give them a little overhaul, but I only had a few marker colors.  This is the best I could come up with:

20  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Crowned Skull, Daft Punk, and I heart Jared Leto shirts! on: January 02, 2007 01:25:37 PM
These are my first stenciled projects, and I think they turned out great!  I like the bleach stenciling a lot better than paint stenciling-it's quicker and it gives a really neat disheveled effect.
