1  Twilight Pendants & Forbidden Apple Earrings in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by sewkrafty on: April 15, 2009 09:10:30 PM
Hello everyone.  Here is some polymer clay jewelry that I made for my partner Haylie, for the Twilight swap we just finished.  Pictured below is book 1 and 4 but I actually sent her pendants of book 1 and 3 (which is not pictured).

I'm still a newbie at polymer clay and have lots to learn, but I had a lot of fun making these!

2  Glass Marble Tokidoki Bracelet & I <3 LA/Lakers Scrabble Tile Earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by sewkrafty on: April 15, 2009 12:06:44 PM
Hey everyone.  Here are some pieces of jewelry that I made a few years ago but never got around to posting.  Talk about procrastinating!

My daughter loves Tokidoki anything, so I made her this cute little bracelet using flat glass marbles and wire.  She loves it and its held up very well over the past few years.

As for the earrings, these were made when the I <3 NY shirts were a total trend.  Everyone and their mama had one of those shirts, sooo... I decided to go against it and do the whole I <3 LA instead.  Tongue  I added the Lakers image to the other side of the tile as well.  Yes, I am a fan.

Sorry for the blurry pics.  Again, these were taken years ago.  I promise, I have a better camera now!

A close up of a few marbles:

3  Kawaii Food Checkbook Wallet! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sewkrafty on: April 15, 2009 10:43:05 AM
Here are a couple pictures of my first wallet.  Cheesy I made this a while ago but never got around to posting & sharing it. I'm still trying to get a hang of my sewing machine, but I think I did a pretty good job for it being my first one.  I'll admit, this wallet took me FOREVER to make.  Forever as in a whole day!  I think it was the measuring and cutting of the fabrics and interfacing that took up most of my time.

I was pretty happy with the way it came out but need to figure out something else to make it a little bit more sturdy.  I used heavy interfacing but the wallet seems a little flimsy to me.  It's still functional though.

Anyways, enough rambling and on to the pics!

P.S. I love this fabric!

The inside, with my handy Costco card modeling for me.

4  Re: Twilight Round 6 Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sewkrafty on: April 09, 2009 10:19:31 PM
Ok, finally figured out how to re-size my pics.  I was so excited this morning to see that my package had arrived.  My daughter and I tore through the box like little kids opening presents on their birthday!  Omg, Haylie... you really did spoil the heck out of me!  You set the bar really high for my future swap partners, especially with this being my first swap!  Tongue  Ok, now on to the pics!

A reversible Twilight bag (patchwork on the inside!)

A beautiful art frame & bulletin board/wall decoration (which my daughter already claimed is hers!)

Stitch markers and a Bella necklace

A gorgeous charm bracelet and "Forks" earrings!  (A couple of my favorites btw!)

Last but not least, personalized etched glasses for me and my kiddo PLUS a few of my partners favorite fantasy books for my 10 year old (since I won't allow her to read Twilight just yet!)

Haylie, you are absolutely amazing!  Thank you SOOO much from my kiddo and I!!  I wish you could've seen her face when she realized that you had sent some goodies and a hand written note, just for her.  Too cute! Oh and for the millionth time, I really do feel awful for not going over the minimum.  I had no idea you were going to spoil me like you did!  I'm not complaining, no way...hehe... but please do expect another package (from the little one and I) because we really do feel like you deserve more!  *Note to self* Will add a little extra to all my future swaps, just because I know how good it feels to be the recipient who was spoiled by their partner!  Haylie, thank you for being the best swap partner one can ever have.  You totally made my week!   Cheesy

5  My shoulder bags (Link for tute now posted!!!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sewkrafty on: March 29, 2007 06:04:33 PM
*Ok... I've been having problems posting pics, so hopefully this will work now...*

Here are a couple shoulder bags that I made over the past 2 weeks.  I just recently purchased a sewing machine and experimented by making these.

I made the navy blue one for myself.  My lil girl loved it so much, so I decided to make one for her also (the baby blue bag).  They were actually easier than I thought they would be!  Btw. this is the first project I've ever posted here on craftster.  Be nice! =p
