I will definitely make this! I was actually planning on designing something like this for myself but this girl beat me to it!

I knit the yarn and the thrum together. I think without doing this, the thrums would be more likely to fall out.
I finished my second pair. Here they are with their recipient:

I finished my first pair last week! The recipient was very excited and wears them all the time. I plan to make at least 3 more pairs as gifts and one pair for myself. I love how warm they are!

Here's one of them!

I'm making mittens and socks for nearly everyone I know. The mittens are thrummed, so they don't take too long. I've finished one pair already, but I've got about 7 more to go! Plus the socks! I'm definitely starting to feel the heat...

That looks great! Seeing all the finished ones really keeps me focused on finishing mine!

I just did the toe and then worked the short rows exactly how it said for the leg. I'm at the heel now and it doesn't seem to be a problem at all, but only time will tell!
I like making these socks so much that I may make another pair in a better color. The more I work with the yarn the more I don't mind the color too. It's a really fun pattern and easy once you get the hang of it (I had an hour and a half train ride and I finished a pattern repeat and the short row heel). I can't wait to see how other people's go!

Here's my progress. I'm using Regia Jacquard yarn (I got it on sale, that's why the colors are so hideous). The yarn doesn't work well with the pattern, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work well with any pattern. I'll keep working on them anyway to get rid of the yarn.

The pattern is really easy and lots of fun to do!

Ooh count me in! I'm going to try to convert this to toe-up and on 2 circs, since that's the way I like to make socks!

I realize that I was probably never part of this knitalong, but I did finish the bag back in April, so I thought I'd provide some encouragement to those still working on it:

I forgot to decrease the top and add a buttonhole, but I like it anyway. It's made out of Plymouth Encore, double stranded. I gave it to a friend who loved it, so I don't have any other pictures of it.

Good luck to the rest of you with your bags!
