2  I Love TWEED! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by rubyohsosoho on: July 28, 2007 06:29:52 AM
So I have tons of this tweed material that was being kept to make at least a skally cap for my hubby...but I made these for me instead.  Like usual, I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of went at it.  Smiley

Ignore the wrinkles...I was too excited to iron them yet.

Yes!  My first dress I've created all by myself!  I just grabbed some fabric and started cutting and sewing.  lol.  I'm lucky how well it turned out.  Smiley

I made this skirt for a trade a few days ago.  I've decided that I know LOVE trades and swaps.  lol.  Anywho, it's made out of tshirts.

5  Lots of old tshirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by rubyohsosoho on: March 16, 2007 01:58:39 PM
I have this tote full of clothes that I've been meaning to reconstruct or something, but after opening it I decided I was too lazy for anything complicated.  So I made a skirt out of tshirts.  Yay!  Nothing too fancy, but it's recycled and pretty.   Grin

6  My pink aline skirt...or is it pink? in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by rubyohsosoho on: March 07, 2007 07:31:02 PM
I'm pretty sure this skirt is pink...but maybe rose.  Anywho, doesn't matter.  It's pretty and I'm making an extra just for me to keep.  Look okay??

My son was so proud of himself for sneaking into this pic before the cameras timer was up.  Smiley

You know how on tv, everyone that goes to Mexico, Cancun or any other beachy place, has this awesome white pants?  The real lightweight breazy kind?  Well, I HAD to make my own.

Do they look anything like the real thing?  I made the top, too.  Yay!

8  Kimono? What kimono? in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by rubyohsosoho on: February 24, 2007 10:30:48 PM
One of my exes had given me a kimono one year after he had been in Korea.  Not knowing what to do with one, it stayed in the back of my closet.  Recently, I had discovered I still had it and realized how gorgeous the fabric was (and how much I hated I still had it).  So, I made two throw pillows and a purse for my sister (which I'll post later).  Sorry the pics are so crappy (same for the couch...hehe).

The pillows

And a close-up of one of the dragons

9  My pretty pink dress...I think in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by rubyohsosoho on: February 22, 2007 07:12:41 PM
Well, I got bored and felt creative so I brought out the pink fabric I've had stashed away.  I'm really not sure what I think of this dress as it's so simple...but sometimes simple looks good.  I dunno.  What do you guys think?

10  Social Distortion painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rubyohsosoho on: February 21, 2007 08:35:52 PM
My husband is a HUGE fan of Social D, and considering I have no job I had to make him something for Christmas (yeah, I'm a little slow getting it on here).  Anywho, I painted this for him.  It looked so much easier than it really was.

The pics turned out kinda funky.  Sorry.
