1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Newbies Only Swap Round 4 (Sign-ups CLOSED; Send-Outs 05/29) on: May 20, 2007 11:45:53 PM
Ok, so this really slowed down for me what with dealing with the car accident and my show opening this past weekend.  I have finishing touches to do (which includes spending at least a day feeling like whatever i made isn't good enough Tongue) I just felt bad that i haven't posted in a while.  I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ALMOST DONE WITH OUR FIRST SWAP!! ( :'(they grow up so quickly.... Tongue)

wow they are great!! thank you soooo much!! yes its what im looking for thank you thank you than you, lol, where did you find them? i can never see any good ones on google images or wherever! i like them all but i lke the first one especially! do you know who it is by?

No problem!  Glad to help  Cheesy Honestly I could not tell you how I found them, I just have become pretty good and figureing out which obscure words to type in a search and find the exact thing i'm looking for (even when i find it hard to describe) so when i read what you wrote I thought I knew what you were talking about so I figured I'd give it a shot!  Actually the first one (which was my favorite too--so good choice Tongue) was a sampler I think.  all of the links are directly sourced from the website I got them from so if you right click and click properties it will bring you to the site (you just have to erase the image name) but in case you dont know how to do that the site for the first one is:
Tell me if you need any of the others.  And DEFF tell me if you do indeed end up getting what you want!! I'd love to see whatever the finished project is!!!!!

I hope you guys don't mind me posting this here, but just consider it more info about me.  Just a crazy story that I needed to share.  So yesterday as I was driving home from picking up the dance shoes I need for the show I'm in, I was in an accident.  The two people in the other car and myself came out fine.  My arm has a big surface cut which will deff. bruise and my other hand the middle finger is bruised up but all in all I'm fine.  The front of my car on the other hand... basically fell off.  So I was extremely upset because this was my first accident/ticket ever and I felt so HORRIBLE for all of this.  I didn't understand how it happened but I knew I hit them.  But any ways my parents are extremely understanding (and i think they were very happy that I was home this semester so they were right around the corner for my first accident).  So my dad dropped my car off at the car place where it would have to stay to get fixed up.  So this morning my mom wakes me up (I slept on the couch cause i needed tv to fall asleep to Tongue) and she tells me that at 3 in the morning a car of four boys came around our corner.  Two of their tires BLEW.  The car ricochet into the curb and ended right outside my neighbors house.  All the boys were fine and the car from where i can see it now from my house looks strangely ok.  The point to my whole story...
That car slammed right into where my car is usually parked.  So IF my car was there, there is a good chance that one or more of those boys would have been seriously (if not permanently) affected by the accident that would have occurred.  Its one of those things that i just can't believe and I'm sorry cause I know it's not craft related, but I needed to tell someone about it.  I hope you guys don't mind.

SO SO SO SO CUTE!!!!! I love it.  I dont know about the ruffle myself though.  I think that it perfectly simple and lovely right now and I am not sure if the ruffle would make it look over board for me, i'm just having trouble visualizing it at the moment though.  Great choice of fabric.  and the white just makes it so classy in itself! Great job
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Help needed for the Ultimate Beer Drinker's Kit on: May 10, 2007 08:13:25 AM
I know you said no glass etching... but I figured I'd share an idea that I used for my ex's birthday present that went over amazingly (not completed yet so i haven't posted the whole thing) but basically it was his 21st bday and he's not a big drinker but i figured he needed something drink related since HEY it was his 21st bday!  So he loves dragons and has his own Dragon eye he draws all the time.  Long story short, dollar store trip for glasses (and candle holders for shot glasses) and polymer clay.... and i'll show you the shot glasses cause they're the most done but i'm SURE you could do cool stuff to make personalized beer mugs!!  And thats a one of a kind gift that will leave people in awe Tongue
I appologize for picture quality (camera battery died so had to use phone camera)

Side note--the white part is glow in the dark clay
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: What to get for guy friends? on: May 10, 2007 07:46:00 AM
I don't know if you are thinking about making them presents or buy anything, but when it comes to my guy friends I usually go with either a present along the lines of a joke we've had, or something very random they brought up.  Another one of my favorite gift ideas for anyone that usually goes over well is a kinda 'i won't grow up' package.  This is amazingly easy now a days with all the old tv shows and movies that are on dvd.  Usually I'll get one of their favorite old shows or movies (one time i got a bunch really cheap and then made a 'Captain America' case for them since he was a big fan as a little boy Cheesy) Then I usually throw in a bunch of little classic childhood things.  Playdoh is one very good example.  While the present may seem stupid while putting it together, usually its one of those things that people haven't thought about in a while and so to see their face when they take a look at some forgotten hero from their childhood..... i'd call that priceless.
