1  Re: Fabric Jewelry Swap GALLERY! Send by 12/15 in The Swap Gallery by julianapegas on: December 26, 2011 07:39:48 PM
My package arrived! Cheesy
I imagined the post offices would be kinda clogged because of the holidays, but I didn't expect it would be that much XD

So here it is!

Schnerby sent me an adorable cuff, along with some really cool extras: a felt pin with a red button, a little felt handsewn pouch, and a postcard featuring graffiti art by Banksy.

Here's the cuff being worn. It encompasses some of my favorite stuff: the colors black and purple, ruffles, ribbons and brocade <3 I love how it looks on my wrist, I'll be wearing it a lot!
It's made in such a way that I can change the ribbon if I want, or, as schnerby suggested, put an elastic instead - but I really like having a ribbon bow on it ^^

The pin is just adorable! I love how thick it is with all these layers of felt, it makes the sewing lines really sink in, especially at the middle.

Thanks for being such a great swap partner, schnerby! And thanks Leslieshappyheart and Susanab for organizing this swap, of course Cheesy

Also, I'd like to say everyone's submissions are great, everything looks so gorgeous! Congratulations to all of you!

2  Re: Sewing Machine / Serger Q&A in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by julianapegas on: January 04, 2009 11:23:31 AM
Hi! My grandmother has a very old Singer machine, this model here:

And I found two parts for it that I don't have a clue what they're for... nor does my grandma XD

The second one I know it's a foot, but I tried googling photos of sewing machine feet and I didn't find any like this...
And the first one I don't have any idea of what it is!

Can anyone help this sewing machine noob?  Grin

3  Re: Creepy mini art dolls Gallery, sendouts OCT 6 in The Swap Gallery by julianapegas on: October 23, 2008 07:19:38 PM
YAY! Glad you liked it, I was so curious to know! Grin Seeing a photo of hers in her new home makes me all fuzzy xD

Well, actually I'm still curious, since I'm still to hear from koalascout...
Speaking of hers.... here's the doll she sent me!  Grin

It's adorable! But I'm sure this guy as mischievous as it's cute, I'd better take care XD

She also sent me a cute keyring (I wish my town had a giant peach like that! 8D) and a lucky pig (I've seen lots of lucky frogs, but it's the first time I see a pig... I like the story xD)

Thanks a lot!!! <3

4  Re: Baby-Bear Crochetalong! (Free pattern) in Crochetalongs by julianapegas on: October 15, 2008 09:06:05 PM
Here's mine!
He's actually my first successful amigurumi, I'm in love with it... thanks for the pattern!  Grin

It's interesting to see how different can be the results for a single pattern... All posted bears are awesome, each in its own way <3

Wow, all the dolls are awesome!!! So many different styles and ideas!  Cheesy

Here's the one I received from carrieme:

She has such soft hair! If I wasn't afraid of her, I'd ask her what shampoo she uses... but then again, maybe I don't wanna know Grin

Black Widow is looking at you...  Shocked

And the card, so cute!

I loved it, thanks a lot! <3

6  Pendant and ring made from scratch!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by julianapegas on: August 24, 2008 09:54:49 PM
I'm majoring at Design, and there are Jewelry classes at my uni... Cheesy
The goal was to make a necklace and a ring, all from scratch, following a theme. Mine was Gothic Architecture - which I simplified a lot, or else I'd lose my brain xD

My "Vitral" pendant, made in brass and bathed in silver.

and my "Ogiva" ring, all made in silver 950. I had a hard time with soldering here (pretend you didn't see the gaps on the borders! 8D), but I'm very happy with it nonetheless. I'm pondering a remake, though...

It's hard work, but I had so much fun! I can't wait doing it again... I hope I have some free time this semester so I can bug the coordinator into letting me use the workshop XD

7  Two gothy necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by julianapegas on: August 22, 2008 02:34:08 PM
I had some wire and beads lying at home, so I decided to give a try at making necklaces. It's something I was kinda "afraid" of trying, because I thought I wouldn't have patience to finish... XD But instead, I found it quite relaxing!

Skull necklace...

...and matching earrings!

I glued Swarovski cristals on the centerpiece... so shiny!

8  Two random projects: kitty hat + rune pouch in Crochet: Completed Projects by julianapegas on: November 17, 2007 09:57:23 AM
Yay, first time I show my crafts online XD
I'm a crochet newbie, so here are two simple projects, with very thick yarn Grin

My kitty hat, which I made based on this tutorial, with some slight changes (for example, I crocheted it round, instead of making a rectangle... I was having trouble getting the right size so I worked round and kept trying it on as I made it. :3

And here's a pouch I made for my rune set. I started following a hat pattern, and then improvised the rest. ^^
