11  My First REAL Handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cheekymamaof2 on: August 09, 2004 11:21:06 PM
ok, so I made a "handbag" before, but it wasnt like this...it was more of a two sides sewn together and it might hold a credit card and a tube of lipstick. THIS is nice and roomy. I actually made one other and Ill post a pic of it later...This is the smaller of the two.

and the inside...

13  My first attempt at a handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cheekymamaof2 on: July 29, 2004 09:26:40 PM
These were really fun to do, mind you Im no handbag maker. Ive always wanted to try it, and while they do look simple, I had a HELLUVA time with the instructions. I never did figure out how to attatch handle tabs. Each time I tried attatching them in the way the book said to, they ended up sandwiched between the lining and the bag, never to show again. LOL Anyway, they are cute, and a good way to use up my freakin HUMONGOUS stash of fabrics.

14  Quilted wall hanging, 10 years in the making. in Halloween Decor and Parties by cheekymamaof2 on: July 29, 2004 09:22:03 PM
My grandma and I purchased the fabric for this fun little halloween wall quilt 10 years ago, in august of 1994. we started them, and then grandma put things away, forgetting where she put it, and ever after assuming that grandad threw it all out in the trash. *chuckles* she griped at him for years about throwing her beauties away. Well, Grandma has since passed, along with grandad, and Im sure she will be able to rest now, because while going through all her years of collected fabric and beauties, I found the box which contained the halloween wall quilt beauties. Ive finished several of them and figured this would be a great place to display one for grandma.

15  my baby quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cheekymamaof2 on: July 14, 2004 06:00:25 PM
okok I know this isnt a "traditional" quilt in the way of hours of seemingly endless piecing (although I do love that) This is a simple 32"x32" machine pieced, hand quilted baby blankie. I like that its not overly large, because it can be a comfort blankie later on and not take up acres of space. *grin*

17  Baby Rattle Blocks by me in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by cheekymamaof2 on: July 08, 2004 02:04:24 PM
The babys are absolutely loving these new little soft rattle blocks! Im having a slightly challenging time keeping up with orders, so I'm asking that people allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery and I'll get them out sooner as possible.

They come in all sorts of colors, basically whatever you like. If you dont have a specific color theme in mind, You can just let me know what premade theme you like and I will be creative.
I like to organize the color theme list like this:

Boy brights *think royal blue, red, bright yellow)
Boy pastels* think seafoam, skyblue and pale yellow)
Boy Prints* think cars and trucks, trains, baseball)

Girl Brights * think bright purple, hot pink, and red)
Girl Pastels * think pink, lavender, and yellow)
Girl Prints * think, hello kitty, strawberry shortcake, and my little pony)

Gender Neutral Brights * green, purple and yellow
Gender neutral pastels * yellow, salmon, seafoam
Gender Neutral prints * cats/dogs, fishies, dots and stripes

High Contrast Infant (Red Black and White)
