1  Re: US Altered Journal Swap Ring (Round 2) in The Swap Gallery by TripleThreads on: July 19, 2007 12:36:22 AM
Banga- I used a texture plate to do those. As soon as I saw your theme, I knew what I had to do. I wondered if it was "fairy tale-y" enough, but love the story so much I had fun. Not finding much snowflake oriented stuff, I had fun with shiny things.  Wink Glitter is awesome. Though apparently glitter which appears snow-like in the tube is actually more pink than whiteish. o.o I officially love texture plates now and want to find more things to use them on.

I'm amazed by the work that everyone else did- everyone is extremely talented! My journal came back absolutely lovely, so I had to take lots of pics to show off how awesome it is. Wink

Green, my favorite colour. Grin

The intro page.

... with beautiful signins.

The first page- I'm guessing Banga?

... with a beautiful tag/card.

Page 2 by a_a. I love how you shaped the page!

Page 3- this must be by sanditerese. Smiley Yay green! And butterflies. And sparklies.

Page 4 by orange_sunset. Who knows how much I love faeries. Smiley

And grasshopper hid hers way in the back half of the journal, because she's crafty that way. With bookmark attached:

... and removed, so the pages can be seen.

2  Cherry Print Halter Dress- Simplicity 3823 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TripleThreads on: March 23, 2007 05:29:16 PM
Ok, this dress was just too much fun. I fell in love with the fabric, and then I just had to do the pattern as soon as I saw it. I decided to make the one with the bubble skirt and do ties instead of just having it button in back, since ties are so much more forgiving!

I also wound up shortening it a good 3" from the pattern, given that I'm so freaking short, but I have to say I like the way this comes out. Sorry for the blurriness of the picture. Smiley

*hophophop* I'm so happy that it finally showed up and you liked everything.  Grin I was really hoping that the bag would work for you to be able to carry your yarn and such around. It would have been a lot easier for me to work on it at home if my buttonholer had worked! And I fell in love with that pincushion the second I saw it- it was actually the first thing I decided to make for you. ^_^

Here are a couple of pics for everyone... BAD BF. *grin*

So, I took the photos out of order a little, but I'm posting them up in the approximate order it should have gone. Wink Pretty pic heavy, I was having fun. ^_^;;

Oooh, what's in the box?

All sorts of neat stuff! (Minus the slippers, already on feet.)

Rose checking out Squishy:

Clearly he met with approval! No, don't steal him!

Yay slippers! Obligatory action shot. Cheesy

And in the little boxes:

Pretty earrings:

Earring closeups:

Rose pouting because I won't let her have Squishy:

Noo, don't run away with the slippers!

5  Re: Amish Puzzle Ball Pincushion from Swap - Tut in Completed Projects by TripleThreads on: February 13, 2007 10:31:39 AM
Sorry for the cross post, but I just had to put up a pic of the pincushion I did from this pattern! It was probably one of the most interesting things I've ever sewn. But now that I know how it goes together, I might make some more for friends. Smiley

6  Re: Let's make pincushions! in Craftalongs by TripleThreads on: February 13, 2007 10:23:11 AM
So, I tried my hand at making a pincushion too. As it was getting pretty crazy, I decided to hold off on putting on the buttons. I'm not even sure what good a button is for on a pincushion? *laughs* Anyhow, as soon as I saw this pattern I just had to try it!

I'll probably make some more later, now that I think I've finally figured out the hang of it! It got to be a challenge keeping my puppy from wanting to chew on it- I really had to hide it from her. (Please excuse the earring hanging out there. *smile*)
