11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Tree Swap, Round 3! on: January 16, 2007 12:41:28 PM

Here ya go, post your goods here! Cheesy
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Star Wars Stocking. on: December 17, 2006 01:18:42 PM
Yep, the title says it all. I made this for a swap... Smiley Anyway... just used and iron on pen to trace the logo, ironed it onto felt and used fabric paint to fill it in. That was a pain in the put and it turned out a little sloppy looking, but still presentable Smiley Then handsewed them on to the stocking shape... freehanded the name with fabric paint. Then I sewed up the stocking and lining.. sewed them together, topstitched and put the bias tape on the top edge.

Anyway I hope you like! Smiley

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / yet another boxy bag. on: December 17, 2006 01:13:52 PM

I love making these! They are pretty easy, they just take quite a bit of time, but they turn out awesome! I love the shape and how you can tweak with the dimensions to make a huge one or even an itty bitty one Smiley

Here is a tutorial to make one... I figured it all out then found this tute. Roll Eyes Anyway, its really informative and has lots of pics!

And a shot of the side...

Hope you like it.... Comments or criticism?

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knit washcloths. on: December 12, 2006 04:52:31 PM
Here are some knit washcloths I have made recently... these are fun to make... and are nice for a bit of mindless knitting. Not that I ever knit anything complicated, haha. Anyway, I hope you like them Smiley

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / handwriting fabric needle roll. on: December 07, 2006 08:36:21 PM

Here is a needle roll I made for a swap a bit ago. The green cursive fabric is some of my favorite! It's quite large and has enough room every needle size up to 15, and even 2 of the smaller sizes!

Oh and there are several white pockets in the front for all the random knitting goodies!

Comments or criticism?
16  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Vegan apple pancakes. on: December 07, 2006 08:12:07 PM

There is something about fall and apples... mmmm.. and cinnamon. I love love love apples! So when I saw this recipe I knew I had to try it, and I am glad I did!

They probably aren't the best vegan pancakes ever, but they are still pretty dang good, they have a nice flavor and the apples are yummy! Oh yeah... the batter was a little thick, adding a bit more soymilk prolly wouldn't hurt.

17  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / soft trees. (complete w/ photos) on: December 07, 2006 04:28:33 PM

First of all let me say I made these using the soft tree pattern from the littlebirds blog. Well except I shrunk it to 50%! They turned out pretty dang small which is what I wanted Smiley

I used fleece for the actual "tree" part and the bottom is made of felt! Since I just whip stitched around the bottom on the outside instead of getting all fancy I used non fraying fabics... I wanted it to flare out a bit. Like in this picture. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bellabluebell/305749717/ I didn't exactly follow the tute. Before I sewed it up I added some beads to look like ornaments Smiley

Tell me what you think!

18  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / polka dot stationary. on: December 07, 2006 04:21:06 PM
Okay take it easy on me, I don't pull out the paper crafting stuff much! Anyway, they are just some simple cards using some of my favorite papers and a circle punch! I tried to make every card different which was fun, coming up with different layerings and placements Smiley

Do you like them? I am open to comments and criticism! Smiley

19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Criss-Cross-Coasters. on: December 06, 2006 06:13:25 PM
Hi hi hi!

When I saw this tutorial, actually I found the link in Miss Meshell's blog (http://littlemissmeshell.typepad.com/meshells_little_corner_of/), from Allsorts I knew I had to try it Smiley

They are so easy and fun to make, and they make a great gift for the totally random person on your list!

Anyway I used 4 different fabrics, the 2 obvious ones on top, flannel on the inside because I liked the print and for the absorbency, and muslin on the bottom, I didn't use any interfacing because I didn't have enough for the set and I didn't like how thick it made it, I am weird, lol. I also used pinking shears to trim the edges to neaten it up (in addition to clipping the corners).

On to the pictures! Smiley

Tell me what you think! Good or bad!
