This feels appropriate to share today. Skip to 5 minutes in for the start. https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/game-over/

Goodbye for now, my friends.
2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Latest News / Re: Re: Craftster Site Announcement on: December 18, 2019 12:23:13 PM
I have a lot of things to reply to and no sense of which came first so here they all are in random order:

I just came in to walk the silent halls of Crafsterland. I have been silent for so long but this has been such an incredible place for inspiration on so many levels. There has barely been a day that I have not been here. Thank you all for all of your contributions. I am so heartbroken that the great Crafster has been shut down. It has been so much for so many. Even the silent ones. Thank you Mods for Always being there for us. Thank you all for making this place so very special.

Definitely sucks, I've been on craftster since I was at least 13. Fifteen years.

I will definitely join the reddit you made edelc. And Facebook if anything moves there too.

Yep. I wasn't exactly that young but I've also been here 15 years. Worked on the site for 5. Made amazing friends, some of whom were at or IN my wedding. This just hurts.

I hate the cavalier, casual and insensitive way the devastation of a real community of people was announced.
'A bit of sad news', my Aunt Fanny.
I haven't been on Craftster much in that last couple of years, but I knew it was always there.
So very grateful for Jean, Pam and Kristin and all the mods.....the mammas trying to keep everyone together. Thank you ladies. Thank you so much!

YEPPPPPPP. This kind of attitude in shutting down somewhere we've been for 15+ years and has literally changed lives is in no way surprising to me, unfortunately. This is SUCH a huge deal to so many people and they put in the bare minimum of compassion about it.

Is there a way to mass delete our pics from the photo hosting?

I don't believe so BUT I was opening each image in a new tab, which made it easier than trying to navigate back from the main page.

I just wanted to make a post about the beautiful quilt I got from the sale on EBay from Missing Willow. Its absolutely gorgeous. I intended to make a whole post about it featuring this beautiful quilt but unfortunately I made a stupid maneuver Sunday playing roller derby and broke my leg. So Im up in the hospital making this post right now but I wanted to show my appreciation for it before we close down. Its gorgeous and I cant think of a more beautifully crafted item to remind me of my friends here on Craftster. Im so very thankful for you all.

Ack! I'm so sorry! Derby leg breaks SUCK but almost everyone I know has come back (if that's what they wanted). Who do you skate with?

Also... I've been clicking profiles to see who has checked in and jungrrl, bye and thanks for all the things.

YEEESSSSS...jungrrl will forever be a god to me.

I wub her.

Ya'll. Ugh. I'm so not good at feelings and you're making me want to cry. I've been around. Slowly going through 500+ pages of posts to delete what I didn't want to stay up. It's taken up all of my time. I JUST finished and have yet to prune my messages, which will also make me cry. I will be following along to wherever we find ourselves next. I don't want this to be my last post but it may be, so... I am a better crafter and a better person because of this site. Love ya'll.
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: New Amigurumi Boards! Feb. 18, 2011 on: January 28, 2015 04:34:56 PM
Hi. I didn't see this board! I posted an amigurumi on the toys, dolls and playthings board. Should it be moved? Do I have to tell someone about it? I'm posting the rest of them here now I know it exists.

That's ok! Sometimes things can fit in more than one place so you can post in either (but please not both)! You're all good!  Smiley

Yea, it's been requested for a while now. I've never put it in because I never know it. Honestly, I'm sure very few others do, too. I've never had a problem.
