Oh my, my, my....  Ms. Yogagirl, even with new nails, I have to druge thru this to tell you I am even more jealous that you had sewing classes in H.S.  Flunked or not, you rocked, and to have picked up a certain something along the way.

P.S.  This whole new job, and grown up thing with trips to the nail salon thing sucks

*took longer than 5 min. to write grrrgh....*

I love this and the story is just fantastic.  She even looks a bit like a pixie.  You did such a great job with the sewing, and I am totally jealous of your skills.

There is a shirring tute.  Here is the link for you.

If you use this one, just know that you need to use 2x the amount of the chest measurement.  (I think the tutorial says 2 in.)  So for example if your child's chest measurement is 20 in. then you would want to use a piece that is 40 in.

Vegbee also has a tutorial on her tutorial blog.  Here it is.

I think that you did a great job with the trim on that dress.  Awesome job and your daughter is adorable.

Wow!  You have been a busy little mama.  I love you choice in fabrics.  You have an amazing talent.  I'm sure that you have figured that out by now.  The skirt is fabulous as well.  Be a proud mama!  You have certainly earned it!
