21  Chloe Toes Fitted Diapers size small in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by happyfrog on: September 22, 2007 08:54:13 AM
I just finished these diapers.

They make me smile..

'sides, what's not to smile about putting brocade on a baby?  Smiley   It's going to be a shame to put a diaper cover on these!

Good thing next baby is due in spring - hopefully no diaper cover needed - just a tshirt and diaper!  Smiley

should explain the white cap you see on each diaper is a size engraved cap so i can keep all my diapers straight with a simple look see at the right wing.  Smiley

22  Tinkerbell Tote with wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by happyfrog on: August 18, 2007 04:36:09 AM
I just made a Tinkerbell Tote bag for an 8 yr old i'm visiting.

Sorry i'm getting ready to leave so no innard pics but it has a simple pocket (no flap closure) inside tote to hold the pouch wallet i made to go with.

24  Re: changing babies... in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by happyfrog on: August 15, 2007 06:09:23 PM
i had a changing table but i didn't like it - esp once my younglings got to the point they were climbing it to get on top. . .

so i got a 6 drawer dresser - 3 drawers on left/3 on right.  it's about waist height.

then i went to joann's and bought a piece of foam to fit and i sewed a cover for it and then i used my handy snap press and made a 'brass' clear cover for it.

here's a pic:

and a close up of the snaps:

i used a serrated bread knife to cut the foam to the exact size of the dresser.

i also bought a piece of non skid floor rug stuff to put between the dresser top and the vinyl covered foam top.  there's no sliding this way.

i LOVE the vinyl top on the changing pad - it's VERY simple to sanitize between uses.  Smiley

mommy to 2 in diapers.

oh yeah, those are diapers i made in the pic, too.  *grin*

25  bright flowers and striped inner tote with matching wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by happyfrog on: August 12, 2007 01:53:06 PM
I JUST finished making 2 of these.  One for a friend (we're visiting a family soon that we haven't seen in a LONG while) and the other, I just thought it'd be a good idea to make 2 - 'just in case', lol.

I really like them myself.  The colors are so bright and cheery - the pics don't do them justice - the striped inner matches all teh colors but for some reason, the camera isn't picking up most of the colors - just the yellow and black it seemed...  .  Huh

anyways, it was my first foray into the 'bright and colorful' world.  i'm more of a muted color gal so this was an interesting adventure.

oh i got the fabric at joann's for $3/yard each on clearance rack.  they're cotton canvas prints. . ..

26  toiletry bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by happyfrog on: August 11, 2007 10:36:34 AM
I found a tutorial here online i can't figure out where it is now - i read these things and really need to bookmark them.

anyways, i made my pattern piece 17"x24"

This is what I ended up with:

the one thing i want to do to it is finish the 2 raw edges with some folded over fabric to make it nice inside.  otherwise, i think it looks good and will make a nice gift.  (i'm visiting some friends i haven't seen in over 4 years and need to have a gift for the guy, my friend, and their 2 kids. . .. )  one gift down. . .. .

28  triangular 'prism' bag - got the idea from this site! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by happyfrog on: August 10, 2007 04:52:38 AM
Someone posted a tutorial (i'm totally sorry i'm blanking on who right now) and i took that idea and made one to the dimensions i wanted.

it was my first attempt and i think it turned out pretty good - i want to make it taller next time and not quite so wide, though and i forgot to put a handle on it.  oops.

here are the pics.

it's for my son's 'stuff' when we go on our camping trip soon.

I really enjoy reading all the posts here.  it's very hard to find typing time though to reply as i have 2 young children that are special needs and they are quite a handful. . ..

thanks for looking at my stuff.  Smiley

29  tote and small wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by happyfrog on: August 07, 2007 07:41:16 PM
I have so enjoyed reading along many of the posts and tonight I just finished a tote along with a matching simple wallet.

Here are pics:

be honest.

the bag handles are about 12" long, the length of bag is close to 15" long and is approx 11" wide.

the inner fabric is actually lavender, not pink.  the denim fabric has embroidered purple, rust red, and orange flowers all over it.

i made a small pocket to hold the simple wallet and attached a key fob holder.  (gotta love my snap press, lol.)

30  Re: 2007 Color Craft-A-Long in Craftalongs by happyfrog on: February 06, 2007 04:28:11 PM
I've actually got February's done!  Smiley  Made it a couple weeks ago and realized just now it'd be PERFECT for this.

Here's a pic:

and another:

My son LOVES to push his stroller everywehre, so I thought he'd like a 'Pixar Cars' themed stroller seat.   I've gotten quite a few positive comments about it.

Hope it makes you smile, too.
