21  my favorite fruit of all (edited with pictures) in Knitting: Completed Projects by peachcake on: January 24, 2007 03:29:55 PM

Hi kids! I finally made a peach. If you want to make one, the pattern link is on my blog. Her name is Georgia and I'll post a picture on my blog when I get a chance. But you get the idea, it looks like a peach. I do not think I am going to make anymore fruits because I have a great idea for a new series of toys. It is so great and I can not wait to get started! And I have a swap to work on.

pattern: http://www.pcakeknits.blogspot.com title: "my favorite fruit of all"

love, peachcake

make one and show me please!

22  Lulu the banana with link to pattern in Knitting: Completed Projects by peachcake on: January 13, 2007 07:23:34 PM
I made a little peeled banana to go along with my other fruits. I named it Lulu because I thought it went along with the banana theme. I was inspired by someone here on craftster to make a little banana. You can get the pattern on my blog= http://pcakeknits.blogspot.com/2007/01/little-lulu.html but here are some pictures of the little Lulu. It's really easy to make and I finished it in an hour and a half.

tell me what you think. and if you knit one post it here so I can see more Lulus. Happy knitting, love, peachcake

24  Mrs. Sour Apple and Henry Bear in Knitting: Completed Projects by peachcake on: January 08, 2007 04:57:17 PM
Someone told me that they were going to make an angry green apple from my pattern so I decided to make my own. But she's not angry she's sour (you're asking what's the difference?). The pattern is still posted on my blog along with the pear pattern. I also bought some beautiful purple yarn the other day and have been wanting to make another bear so I made the Henry Bear from Jess Hutch's lovely book. I'm sure you all are familiar with it. I used lion brand wool and knitpicks wool of the andes in: avocado, cream, and rain. (Avocado and Grass for the apple) So here they are, Mrs. Sour Apple and Henry Bear. You must all think that I am some deranged toy making weirdo. Well, all I have to say is ... I like toys.

HAPPY KNITTING! love, peachcake

I loved "snakeface"'s lovely "Wiiccaaddy" so I decided to make my own. The colors are not what I wanted but I like the cool Wii logo that I did. It was really easy to make and only took me about 4 hours on and off yesterday.

the little blue flap goes under the Wii.
here is detail of the logo
Thanks snakeface!

28  Takk.. for those only awesome enough in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by peachcake on: January 02, 2007 11:09:21 AM
I (finally) handpainted myself a Sigur Rs shirt. I made it with teeny weeny brushes.

I drove 7 hours to see them last Valentines Day and it was the concert of my life! There was a point during the show that I didn't even think I was real. Most people that have seen them live have had similiar experiences. No drugs. They are just that good! I also just handpainted my boyfriend an Iron and Wine shirt for C-mas which I want to show everyone. (Because I'm so proud of it!) I usually only post completed knitted projects so I hope this is the right place to post this.

Tell me what you think.

My boyfriend BEGGED me for a hat like Bill Murray's and Owen Wilson... in Wes Anderson's "The Life Aquatic" so I came up with this look a like and it seems to be a pretty popular hat pattern on here. So I'll submit my version too. Here is the link:

Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in RED (I found this at Wal-Vegas)

CO 85 sts. --this pattern is specifically for this yarn! it is very stretchy and my boyfriend has a large melon
place marker at 1st st.

Knit 4, Purl 1 for ribbing for 7 1/2 inches or so --whatever looks right to you, you should make it long so that you have a flip up brim

after 7 1/2 in. k5, k2 tog, all the way around (stop ribbing after you get to 7 1/2 in. I swear that it will look fine)
k all
k4, k2tog, around
k all
k3 k2tog, around
k all
k2, k2tog, around
k all
k1, k2tog, around , k all, repeat until you have 6 sts. or so and change to dpns. when you need to. Cut yarn, leave a tail for pulling through stitches, and through the center, knot really good a couple of times and you've got your Team Zissou hat!!
