I absolutely love the way that hat looks. Hope your DS appreciates it.
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Oil Painted Heels on: October 13, 2008 08:24:04 PM
A friend of mine found this shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5361137 and was wondering how to seal the heels after they've been painted with oils. Any suggestions? Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

Thank you so much!  For the bust I just did this and built the rest of the dress from there.

I kind of hate wearing dresses. But I love making them.

The zipper is a bit funky and off center, but for my first zipper, I don't really care.

As for the corset, I needed a white underbust for my halloween costume and decided to make one.

It isn't boned, just reinforced with two layers of interfacing. And those stripes on it are just tiny folds that I edgestitched.

I thought they were underwear too at first. Maybe with black tights?

adorable!!! I love fruit-printed fabrics <3

I do too! But, I still can't figure out where to get fruit-printed fabric.

As a former employee, I can surely say that Joann has tons of fruit and other food prints in the quilting section.

I would also love a shoddy tutorial... Grin It looks amazing.

I'm fairly certain that the same pattern you used was one of my first tries at making clothing, and I had to add an under-bust ribbon and improv the zipper too!

It doesn't look like you had any mistakes, anyway. It's probably just one of those things that only you will notice.

Woodburning's a fun challenge and I couldn't even tell that you'd messed anything up. Good job! And I'm always a sucker for funtional art.
