11  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Friendship Bracelet Quilt on: May 26, 2017 07:42:40 PM
After having moderate success with the table runner I made from a "Sew Sampler" box, I decided to try something bigger from jelly rolls that came in another box.  This is the largest quilted thing I've ever made and even though it's a little puckered in places I'm still pretty proud of it.  Finished size is about 38" x 50".  The cat has already claimed it and it's covered in cat hair.

A picture before it had binding

I did a pretty simple quilting pattern- basically stitch in the ditch.

During this experience I've discovered that while I like quilting, I hate binding.  In spite of that I'm already working on my second quilt.  Thanks for looking!

12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Big Honkin' Ring on: May 26, 2017 07:28:08 PM
I found this kit at JoAnn.  I used one of the patterns it came with because I was too lazy to make my own like I usually do for stuff like this.  The finished ring is a little thick, but it still looks pretty cool.

Thanks for looking!
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Lots of wallets on: May 03, 2017 05:46:05 PM
My mom gave me a bunch of patterns and fabric so I thought I'd try the patterns.  Here are some of them.

Grumpy cat wallet

Super Girl wallet

It has a coin pouch inside

And this one I found a tutorial online for.  It's a credit card wallet.

Thanks for looking!
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Is it a Clutch or a Game Case? on: April 26, 2017 07:00:25 PM
...it's both!  I made these bags that can either be a clutch or a handy case for Nintendo Switch.

Here's a cute Legend of Zelda one

And a kickin' Super Heroine one.

I made them from my own design, it was kind of a trial-and-error thing.  Thanks for looking!
15  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Alice in Wonderland Table Runner on: April 24, 2017 05:49:54 AM
My mom signed me up for a monthly sew sampler box and it has mostly quilting stuff. I haven't quilted for a long time and even then it was small wall quilts and mostly appliqu or paper piecing.  So I figured what the heck, I'll give this table runner pattern a try.  The original pattern is huge, probably for a proper dining room table, but I just needed one for my coffee table.  Edit: photobucket is dumb.

I goofed a little on the binding but I'm happy with how it turned out.  Thanks for looking!
16  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / You were fantastic- 9th Doctor Cross Stitch on: January 26, 2017 04:45:00 PM
I love the 9th Doctor. I wish he would've been on for more seasons. I found this pattern on Etsy, and it's the Doctor made out of a quote. It says "you were fantastic, absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I."

He's about 14" high and was really fun to stitch.
17  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sexy Patriot Pillow Case on: January 21, 2017 08:29:04 PM
My mom gave me this hilarious fabric and I wasn't sure what to do with it.  Then I thought a pillow case would be perfect.

18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I Heart the Doctor Coin Purse on: January 21, 2017 06:45:41 PM
I found this pattern/tutorial at Dog Under My Desk.  I'm a fan of Doctor Who and I found this fabric with all his regenerations and thought it would be fun to make a heart shaped coin purse with it.

19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / 9th Doctor Who-pla on: January 12, 2017 06:58:59 PM
The 9th Doctor is my most favorite.  I did this hoopla of him.  He's in an 8" hoop.

He was really fun to stitch, but he took more than a whole skein of black floss!
20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Godzilla and Other Hooplas on: December 06, 2016 04:41:20 PM
My husband and I went a little crazy and decided to make most people's Christmas gifts this year.  This, of course, includes hooplas since we love our cross stitch.

My husband made this one for our friends.

He also made this little Pooh ornament for his sister.

And I made this one for my brother, who is a gunsmith.
