11  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Sunflower Cupcakes on: April 16, 2008 05:13:21 AM
Woah!  My roommate just bought me a cookbook with cupcakes, and this project is from that book!  It's called "Hello, Cupcake!" and all the patterns are just adorable.  Said roommate, who loves Oreos and sunflowers, is totally getting these cupcakes for her birthday!
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Rusted Root aka My First Knitted Sweater on: April 13, 2008 11:11:25 AM
It's really adorable - I love the color and it really suits you!

I have a Rusted Root on the needles - need to finish it!  I'm all done with the sleeves, so I'm on the boring body part...

Squee!  I love the idea of using a bottlecap as the pie pan, too cute!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Teeny Mittens! on: March 22, 2008 09:01:47 AM
I don't know what it is, but lately all I want to knit are mittens.  Teeny tiny mittens.  I can finish one mitten in a few hours, they're a good way to use up stash yarn, and I'll give them away to charity once I'm all done!

These are made from Lorna's Laces, which is lovely, soft, and superwash - unfortunately, I can't figure out how to knit with the rainbow colorway without it looking muddy.  I like mixing it with the white to break it up a bit.

These are from Lion Brand Wool...  Not crazy about the colors, the yarn was a gift - someone will like them!  I also figured out how to make the top of the mitten less pointy (reading the directions correctly helps!)

The pattern is from Ann Budd's Handy Book of Patterns, which is an amazing book.
15  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Valentine's Day Cards to send to your ex-boyfriends on: February 07, 2008 04:57:31 AM
Hilarious and amazing!  I like the "All my friends thought you were gay" one...  also the "wtf. i hate you!" I made some Valentine's Day cards for single friends that say "Love" on the front with lots of hearts and cuteness, and then just say "SUCKS" on the inside in big bold letters.  I should find them since V-Day is coming up...!

Very beautiful! Love the scale too. Are there more in the works?

I have worked in this scale before - there are ladybug magnets in my kitchen made in bottlecaps...

One ladybug ended up on the sugarbowl!

And a random Christmas magnet...

The third one is my favorite as well - nice work on all of them though!
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Hot pink Malabrigo sweater, Wicked, with mock cable pocket. on: January 22, 2008 09:42:51 PM
The sweater is gorgeous, but I just have to say, your hair is amazing!  My hair is curly, and I've finally gotten to a place in my life where I'm happy with it about 75% of the time... but yours is awesome!
