11  Fiber Friday 12/14/2007 in Spinning: Completed Projects by ivycircle on: December 14, 2007 09:21:20 AM
I can't believe I'm first!

This is Corazon is 95 yards of soft merino wool. It's the first time I have ever spun a bulky. It was pretty fun! I think I'll make another. I bought 1/2 pound of this colorway. I love it! I'd probably knit Corazon on size 9-11 needles.

12  Hee hee...Yarn cake! in Knitting: Completed Projects by ivycircle on: December 10, 2007 12:53:30 PM
My best friend's birthday was last Saturday. She's a knitting diva so we threw her a party at the LYS. (You can't see her Tshirt but it says born to knit, lol) The cake is dark chocolate, pecans and Bailey's Irish Cream. I had to post it here because a) It's the only forum she ever reads b) Only yarn divas would get a yarn cake and I'm pretty sure she has the first yarn cake ever!
Happy Birthday Girl!  Grin

13  Cornucopia! in Spinning: Completed Projects by ivycircle on: December 07, 2007 06:12:01 PM
Lufah- I love your socks. My daughter's favorite color is orange. Smiley
Nicolassa- I think my favorite this week is Fraggle rock.

This is Cornucopia. A thick and thin yarn made from Ingeo and plied with silk. I bought some Ingeo during the Tour De Fleece. Ingeo is made from corn fiber. Yahoo! 100% annually renewable fiber. If you have any questions about Ingeo you can check it out on my blog.

Lizzie- I love Gryffindor! I have a thing for shimmer lately.

Lyme- I really like the blue mill ends. Don't feel bad, I have WTF dyeing days too. I think yours turned out great.

This is Ether. A 437 yard blend of  mostly wool, with a little angelina blended in for shimmer.  She's plied at about 16 wpi, so I'd knit  her on size 4-6 needles.

This is my teensy  stash. The big stash is too messy to let anyone look at.  Wink

Wiley, I usually don't spin thick yarns either. This one was for my swap partner in the dragon swap. It's 70 yards of squooshiness! I almost couldn't send it,lol.
